Weight and bulk matter on a long ride when you need room for nutrition, water, tools, and everything else sitting at the bottom of your pack. The Sombrio Women's Marimba Jacket is a lightweight solution to toss in when you need to be prepared for unpredictable weather.

The Marimba is made from Sombrio's S-Tek I-series fabric, a lightweight single-layer hardshell material treated with a DWR finish to give it water-resistant properties. It has a regular fit for better coverage, eyelets in the underarms to help keep your temperature regulated, and a durable YKK zipper that runs down the front of the jacket to help dump heat when it's steamy out.

One-hand pull-cords in the hem cinch the Marimba around your waist to keep mud and wind from sneaking in. A three-panel hood gives you ample room to hide from the wind and rain and pulls close around your face with a draw cord when needed. The Marimba also stows in a panel on the back of its hood, making it easy to pack when the sun peaks out from behind the clouds. Elastic cuffs keep your wrists from being exposed, and two zippered front pockets keep your keys and cash safe whether you're in the woods or riding into town.

  • Familiarity: I've used it several times
  • Fit: True to size
  • Size Bought: Medium

I was intrigued by this jacket because i love the pattern! I waited a while to make the purchase wondering if I was actually going to like it and actually put it to use. I am so glad I bought this jacket! It is really cute in person, super lightweight and packable to put in my Dakine hydration pack when the weather doesn't look very promising. With the way our summer weather has been in Utah this year, this jacket has already saved me multiple times! I originally bought it in a Small, but felt it was too tight for my shoulders so I returned it for a Medium and found the perfect fit! The Dark Stone color is awesome in person too!
