Why We Like The Watercell X Reservoir

A flexible and durable construction makes the Sea to Summit Watercell X Reservoir an easy choice for carrying water into the backcountry. We’re using it to store our drinking water as the food-grade TPU laminate is BPU free and keeps the water tasteless. It can also be used for showering after long days away from civilization with the showerhead attachment.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] As someone who passed a second kidney stone by the age of 22, I tend to need a lot more water than the typical person. It’s never been more comfortable to carry than with this water cell. It fits perfectly into my pack, is easy to refill, easy to hang, easy to pour. Can’t think of a better way to carry my water on trail

Fairly good item

20L bag is sufficient for 4 showers. We keep it on the dash of our van to heat up the water. On a hot sunny day (75F or more), the full 20L will be very hot for showering within 6 hours. We hang the bag from our van rooftop and use it as a shower via shower cap and strap (as intended). We drive on gravel roads and 4x4 a fair bit. As a result the bag gets tossed around a fair bit on the dash. No issues after 4 months of traveling. No bag wear/leaks, no strap failures, no valve leakage. The valve design, although proving to be good, is absolutely awful from an ergonomic standpoint. By far the greatest design shortcoming of this item.

Bad taste in my mouth

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought the 10 liter and it was a good size for my needs. My only complaint, as others have mentioned was the smell and taste that was transferred to the water. I stopped using it about halfway thru my 30-day trip because the taste of the water got too overpowering. I had even flushed and rinsed it several times before that. I had to strap it upright inside the vehicle because the lid does leak, even when screwed down properly. Not a lot of leakage, but enough that it would eventually soak the carpet in my SUV had I not propped it upright.

Gamechanger

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] 10 L is perfect for car camping or backpacking. Throw it in the kayak for long days on the water. Convenient handles make using easy and water spigot to prevent spills or to use as a shower head shows Sea to Summit designs with the end user in mind. Superior to those clear plastic bladders in every way. I plan to buy more.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Great product. Way easier to use and fill than MSR bags. The bags seem durable even tho lighter material than MSR water bags. These will now be my water storage system when overlanding and kayaking.

Great for Multi Day Kayak Camping

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought the 10 Lt and it was a great investment for kayak camping. Easy to manipulate in small spaces, but durable materials so I'm not worried about it easily being punctured. Strap mechanism on the outside of the bag makes it easy to carry as well as hang from a tree branch when you get to camp.
