With more anglers turning towards switch rods for their increased versatility on salmon and steelhead rivers, Scientific Anglers has produced the Adapt Mastery Spey Fly Line to match those increasingly popular shorter two-handed rods. Sitting somewhere between a short skagit head and delicate scandi line, the Adapt features a short-shooting head that will shoot to the far bank and has the ability to turn over large flies, but will still throw a dry fly when the fish seem to be looking up.
The short (28.5ft) shooting head transitions into a long running line to reduce hinging as you cast and is marked with a pink spot at the rear taper and belly, giving quick reference to where the shooting head starts for easy loading. The end of the line is fitted with a welded tip loop where leaders or sink tips can can be quickly attached to the line.
