Contrary to what some companies will tell you, the snowboards of the future aren't going to be made of space-age materials and NASA technology; they're going to be made of materials like wood and bamboo and have less impact on the environment, much like the current Salomon Sick Stick Snowboard. The Stick Sick was made to rip pow on overhead days, but can still handle hardpack with the best of them thanks to the Pow Rocker profile and quadratic sidecut. Plus, by using sustainably-harvested and eco-friendly materials, Salomon is proving that snowboards can be produced in an environmentally-responsible manner without sacrificing quality, setting a precedent for the future of board construction.
