Why We Like The Salomon Quest Winter TS CSWP Boot
Hiking doesn't have to end at leaf drop—the Salomon Quest Winter Thinsulate ClimaSalomon Waterproof Hiking Boot has it all for winter hiking, backpacking, and snowshoeing. The winter version of Salomon's legendary backpacking boot features a winter sockliner, a faux fur lining, and Thinsulate for plenty of winter insulation. It's also waterproof to fight off the elements and sports a winter-specific outsole for better traction on treacherous snow and ice. As with the other Quests, this insulated version also features Salomon's Advanced Chassis for excellent foot and ankle support with plenty of mobility for those of us who hit our favorite trails in all four seasons.

Winter Boots

Great
Replaced my 10+ year old Salomon winter boots with these. Comfortable right out of the box and on a recent snow trip my feet were warm and dry.

Buy them already
Amazing boots for all type of winter terrain. The grip is good, the comfort is amazing and they provide an amazing support to the ankles. They're worth the full price, even if they're not on sale.

Excellent Fit + Quality

Warm, solid, and dangerous
Salomon, why did you do this to me? Twice I found myself crashing to the ground because my boot laces got tangled with the other's locking eyelets. I ended up electrical-taping my boots over the locking eyelets due to fears of tripping a third time with worse consequences. This never ever happened to me in the past with any other boots (Lowa/Hoka One One). The rest of my hike was smooth and warm after the tape fix. I wish there was a better solution to it. My hiking pants aren't long enough to conceal the taped areas, nor should they have to be. Got a blister on my heel, hoping to break them with time.

Fit small
I love these boots and bought half a size up. However they are too small for my right foot still and are causing me a lot of pain on my ascents in the back of my heel. Other than that I love how they feel, how they fit in my foot perfectly in every other aspect and they are waterproof so far!

Love them!
Just got these and took them snowshoeing -- they kept my feet completely dry. Nice insulation too and comfortable on the very first wear. I love them! Very excited to have a great boot for winter adventures.

Great features
Nice boot. Good support, good tread. pairs nicely with crampons. Keeps feet warm and dry in 16f weather. About to test in White Mountains for three days.
