Why We Like The Salewa Pedroc Pro Mid PTX Hiking Boot
The Salewa Pedroc Pro Mid Powertex Hiking Boot combines a streamlined style with progressive mountain functionality. Made for speed hiking, this lightweight hiking boot balances weight savings with comfort and protection to keep us moving fast on the trail. Ripstop PE uppers with TPU overlays provide durability yet keep things light and well-ventilated as we knock out three or four miles per hour. The Pomoca rubber outsoles offer us versatile traction that works well on mud, grass, and rock while the Powertex membrane provides waterproof and breathable weather protection for wet conditions. It also features Salewa's customizable footbed with separate, interchangeable layers that let us reduce the volume in the heel, front, or both to match our foot shape. The Pedroc Pro is a fresh choice for day hikers and fast-packers who tackle everything from urban trails to mixed mountain terrain.

Great Lightweight option
Ive had these for a few weeks now and they have been great. Several 10 mile hikes and an international trip in a 3rd world country and they are holding up and feel like running shoes with hiking support. would get again.

Great Stable Walking Shoe
Arrived fast, packed well. Shoe looks great and is very comfortable. Shoe felt like I had been wearing for weeks the first time I put them on. Laces are nice and thine, yet sturdy and strong. I like how the laces have a top loop on one side and a hook on the other side. Nice tread that’s good in dirt and rock, but does not hold mud.

Ultra Flex Mid - Great boots!
I've had these boots a couple months now. I've had at least 6-8 Salewa's and liked all of them. I've currently got a pair of Alp Trainers (2nd pair), which I really like. But I've noticed as I'm getting older (mid 50's) I find myself needing a bit more padding on my hikes. I've worn the Ultra Flex's on several hikes and around town (which I call urban hiking) and they are a great mixture support and comfort. I do always go a half size up in Salewa and these are no difference. I wear a 9 in most shoes and 9.5 in these.

Salewa pedroc
Salewa is the only boot I will wear. I own several different pairs to switch from warm weather, cold, wet to steep and rugged. These boots never fail. They provide precise fit, little to no break in and never blister my feet.

Great lightweight boot
Super lightweight, flexible and comfortable boot! If your looking for a boot to move with you on a highly mobile hike with uber flexibility, this one will work. Only downside for me, was the toe box was a bit narrow, but doable.

Good but quality issues.
I bought these shoes for a hike in Peru September 2023. Overall they were comfortable and light. When I was breaking these shoes in I noticed something protruding through the stitching where the tongue gusset meets the ankle area. This created a hot spot on my ankle and proceeded to become worse during my hike. The area had to be covered with tape.

Good but stitching problems.
I bought these shoes for a hiking trip in Peru September 2023. Overall shoes were comfortable and light. Good to go as soon as you put them on. Light weight so durability may be an issue if wearing in sharp rocky terrain but excellent otherwise.
