Genuinely good

Taken the Outpost 700 to Cairngorms, New Forest and Exmoor wild camping. The main drawbacks of this bag are that it's heavy and bulky, however I've been able to invite friends to come camping with myself who have no camping kit and the Outpost 700 can convert into a kingsized duvet meaning my guests didn't have to buy any kit. Another drawback is the premium pricetag, but it is good quality and made in the UK. Although it says -5C as a lower limit, I've found that anything below 3C does get a bit chilly (I'm using a 4 seasons tent with a stratosphere 5.5), however because of the bulky/ roomy nature of this bag, you can double up with a summer sleeping bag to have a true four seasons setup (just need a big backpack). The flexibility of this sleeping quilt/bag is fantastic, it feels nice to the touch too.

Bought for camping in both

Bought for camping in both my tent and car. Plenty of room if I need to add layers. Very happy with it so far. I have yet to test it in colder conditions.

Very spacious at the feet

Very spacious at the feet end, i dont like the mummy bag style that restricts my feet and legs. The Outpost 700 feels like a double sleeping bag at the feet end. Very warm. Packs down to a decent small size for a backpack. Comes with a bigger storage bag for at home to keep the down a bit more lofted for the life of the bag. I am a 44 inch chest and 5ft10inches in height and this bag fits me comfortably. If your 6ft3inch/6ft4inch your feet might be at the bottom of this bag with the top of this bag over your shoulders. Highly recommend if looking for unrestricted leg room!

If like me you do

If like me you do most of your camping from the boot of your car and you find a mummy bag just to tight, then this bag may be just what you're looking for. It's extremely comfy and as you would expect from a Rab sleeping bag, it feels nice to the touch. There's no hood, which I like and if you're back packing, although slightly bulky, it's light enough to not weigh you down too much. I love it, and I've waited 20 years for a quality spacious bag to come to the market, so big thank you to all at Rab.
