Reservoir Cleaning Kit
No need to hang your head in shame if your hydration bladder is still filled with water from last month's camping trip; Platypus is here to the rescue with its Reservoir Cleaning Kit. The big brush cleans out the reservoir itself, while the tiny brush scrubs out the drinking tube. Here's a tip if it's super-funky: fill the whole deal with water, then add a denture tablet. Wait fifteen, then scrub and rinse approx. one zillion times until the reservoir is effectively de-funked.

Does a good job cleaning
Does a good job cleaning my reservoir. Nothing fancy just does what it’s supposed to do, well.

It's great, cleans my reservoir,
It's great, cleans my reservoir, would be better in a carrying case than those small things that keep It's shape

Small Brush Broke Immediately
The larger brush used to clean the reservoir seems robust enough, but the coiled brush bent and then snapped off during my first time using it. I figured this might be a defect but I submitted a return request and have not heard anything for almost 2 months. It seems like most kitchen brushes could be used for the main reservoir so without the coiled brush I would recommend buying something from your local grocery store.

One brush worked well, the other, not so much
The brush to clean the hose worked well, but the brush to clean the reservoir itself didn't actually reach into the corners of the reservoir, so it was ineffective at getting it clean.

Essential
Essential for keeping your reservoir clean and sanitary. Without it, there's no real easy way to clean the tube. I wouldn't own a hydration reservoir without it.

MSR never disappoints...
Great for backpacking with your dog, much easier than using a pump to fill multiple bladders and bottles.

Tube Cleaner is Worthless
The brush for the reservoir was easy enough and did its job. I wish the end was a little longer to get inside where it depresses for the tube connection but nothing I couldn't actually get myself. I actually bought this kit for the tube cleaner but I didnt even get to use it fully. The bristles immediately started to come apart before I put the end in the tube. I decided to go for it anyways thinking a couple of lost bristles wouldn't hurt but the entire end broke off! Dont waste the money and just put your pack in the freezer instead to avoid bacteria build-up!

Missing a drying component
The brushes work great, The problem is, the hose and bladder take many days to dry, and in the meantime, the remaining water gets funky, so I haven't solved the funk problem. If you guys could add in similar tools with sponges instead of brushes, that would solve the problem. I would consider changing to a bladder than has an opening that I can get my hand inside of, but I only like the plastic that platy uses - it doesn't taste like anything. Thank you!

Does what it says it will do, without guidance
I'm posting this review as I, too, was frustrated by the lack of instructions. The bigger brush is self-explanatory. Open up the main reservoir, add soap and swish the brush around to get into the crevices and the like. To clean the plastic drinking tube, first you detach it from the reservoir. Next you remove the gray elbow piece that used to connect to your reservoir from the plastic tube. This takes a little trial and error. I have found that twisting the piece while holding the tube stationary works. I wasn't able to remove the whole mouth piece on the other end. I could only remove the elbow. String the smaller brush through the plastic tube to clean. Also, you can remove the plastic bite piece (the part that actually goes into your mouth) from the rest of the bite area by pulling on it towards you. Use the small brush to clean the bite hole one the bite piece. You can't remove the rest of the mouth piece from the plastic tube though. Since this effectively cleans the reservoir better than I could without it, I am giving this product four stars. The removed star was due to the lack of instructions.
