Description

The Petzl Attache Carabiner is the very definition of versatility.

The Petzl Attache Locking Carabiner combines a medium size with a snag-free Keylock gate to make it an incredibly versatile choice for sport, trad, and big wall climbing. Its round-stock aluminum makes it excellent for using with traditional belay devices, and the Attache Carabiner's large basket accepts multiple slings and ropes at cluttered belays.

It's not too big, and not too small. The locking gate works smoothly and I use it while belaying with the Black Diamond ATC guide. This is a very good buy.

This biner is one of the few truly symmetrical pear-shaped biners.
Also its perfectly round radius, while making it a little heavy vs skeletonized alternatives, gives it very predictable handling in any situation.
This is many people's default locking biner especially for belay, and there's a reason for it. Personally I carry only one "heavy" biner - and its this one.

Perfect size... not too small and not too big. It doesn't feel like it's weighing my harness down. Rope rolls smoothly on it. My 'go to' locking carabiner!

Smooth gate, smooth screw lock. A little small for your belay locker but perfect for any other purpose.

Love this carabiner...got it in Hera, which supports the Hera Foundation. The color is vibrant and the style is smooth, the biner locks with ease. What more could you want?

I have a few of these and use them mostly for belaying, but have pulled double duty on anchors too. The size and shape just make them fantastic for the job. Plus, the blue color that I dig makes it easy to spot my gear and find what I need.

This is a great biner to have racked up on your harness, the rounded stock and compact design work great for belaying, and the wider basket is fantastic for having a clutter free tether point on those multi pitch days. I wish I stocked up on these from the get go but they are my new favorite go to locking biner.

This locker works great for a variety of uses. I recently acquired one of the Hera Editions for use with my Petzl Pirana while canyoneering. Definitely worth the extra buck to have it donated for cancer research.

This carabiner is excellent. No complaints here. A bonus is that for each of the special edition blue (Hera) carabiners sold, Petzl donates $1 to the HERA women's cancer research foundation! Right on!

Solid feel and the threads don't seem to be jammed up with chalk as some of the others do. Excellen for the price.

This crab holds my keys securely to my belt loop with aplomb. Even the gal who mixes up my super-duper-sized-double-caff-non-soy-supercream-extrasugar-coffeeflavored-coffee complimented me on my keyholder choice. If that's not an endorsement, then colour me anodized gold. When nobody's really looking, I use this exclusively to set up toprope anchor systems and on hanging belays because it opens easily, rope passes smoothly, and it closes securely. Plus, it's kinda not heavy.

Great carabiner for belay. Accomodates a GriGri nicely... and obviously an ATC or Reverso. I returned a couple Black Diamond biners after the screw gates repeatedly locked so tightly I needed pliers to unscrew them. I've never once had even a hiccup from this petite, yellow beast.

this is my favorite locking carabiner for just about everything. It is safe and SUPER strong.

Wears well and I am always pretty happy with Petzls products!

Great buy!

I have used many locking carabiners, and the Petzl Attache is by far and away the best that I have used. It is the ideal size for most setups, such as for multi-pitch anchor set-ups and it is the only locker I use for belaying. The size is large enough for multiple hitches. For belaying, it stays in place and does not seem to ever cross-load.

The one draw back that I have found, is while ice climbing, the gate can easily freeze shut. If you don't send in the dead of winter, then the attache will win you over.

Best carabiners I've ever had! Used them on the river for years and I would prefer them over any others because they withstand the sand, rocks, and water wearing at them.

Petzl has been making this biner for a very long time. It is tried and true. They key lock feature is great. I use this as my go to belay biner.

I love having a large biner to belay with. It makes everything so much easier. Like if you get into a situation where a munter hitch is needed, a large biner is priceless. But, for the price I only bought one, and use it only when belaying.
