    Quintessential comfort.

When it comes to comfort, the Patagonia Women's Re-Tool Snap-T Fleece Pullover is queen. This luxurious pullover knows a thing or two about plush coziness thanks to its high-pile Polartec Thermal Pro fleece, which retains serious warmth—without the bulk. Additionally, the fabric is bluesign certified and touts a partially recycled construction, while the stand-up collar features a double layer of fleece, making it a formidable adversary against bitter winter chills. A four-snap front placket offers a customizable look, and the kangaroo-inspired handwarmer pocket provides warm respite for chilled hands. Not to mention, the princess seams assure a finished, effortless look that's equally at home on your couch as it is at the corner coffee shop.

    • A warm, chic fleece for combating cool weather
    • High-pile material is bluesign certified and retains warmth
    • Stand-up collar doubles down on defense against nippy winds
    • Princess seams and regular fit provide a sleek look

Definitely buy the Re-Tool if you see it on sale! It is very warm, very comfy, and pretty light if you're packing it. The Snap-T pullover styling is also a nice look, especially if the trim is in a contrasting color. Overall, this fleece is very cozy, but if you wear it outside in cool weather, you need to layer it under a shell or be working up a sweat, because the wind goes right through it.

If you're wondering whether to get the Re-Tool or the Synchilla Snap-T Pullover, here are my thoughts after trying both: 1) The Synchilla is a more traditional fleece material and is very warm and soft, but the Re-Tool's soft and fuzzy material is much more cuddly. 2) The Re-Tool is a much smaller cut than the Synchilla, from the stomach to the length of the arms and the neck opening. I like both; it just depends what you're going for. 3) Partly because of the smaller cut, the Re-Tool is much more packable, takes up less space, and is lighter weight. 4) The Synchilla does not come with a kangaroo pocket; the Re-Tool does. Honestly, for me, this was a deciding factor in going for the Re-Tool instead. 5) The Synchilla is much more wind and water resistant than the Re-Tool. Honestly, if Patagonia made a Re-Tool cut with the Synchilla material, I would buy that.

When it's on sale (I got one for about 50% off), the Re-Tool Snap T Pullover is a fantastic product. I know I'll use it for many years.

This is hands down between all of my outdoor and casual jackets, my favorite item of clothing. This is the most lightweight and breathable but incredibly warm pullover. The material doesn't change during the washing process and it is perfect for almost every season. It is relatively good for layering considering how warm it'll keep you.

You won't need to buy more than one because of the quality and consistency with this pullover but you will simply because it's awesome. This jacket is perfect to take up to the mountains in winter as it is for a breezy spring evening in San Diego - I honestly don't understand how that magic works.

The only word of advice for first time buyers is that the sleeves are shorter than most jackets and pullovers so size up if you like longer sleeves that cover past your wrist.

    Cozy, well made fleece

    • Size Bought: Large

I bought this pullover to wear up in vermont, either for snowshoeing or hanging out. The feel is so cozy. I am 150 lbs, 5 '5" , my hips are bigger than my bust. The large fits well, sleeves are a tad long.
But i can layer underneath. Got the gray with royal blue trim, also sale price.
Its $119, got it for $59. You will want another one!

So I live in Berkeley and oh boy, has 2017 been up to one cold, rainy start! I knew I wanted to invest in at least one quality hoodie/pullover/fluffy jacket-thing and was deciding between TNF's Osito 2 and this. I chose the ReTool Snap because I actually ended up saving more $$$ (#collegestudentbudget). I have no regrets so far. I'm 5'7" 130lbs and opted for a large because I wanted LOTS of room to layer (I prefer looser fitting jackets). I stay cozy wearing this + a normal t-shirt underneath in 50 degree weather (but I don't get cold easily lol). It almost feels like I'm carrying around a portable Snuggie with me to class because the material is super huggable + you can burrow your chin in the mock neck when you have it buttoned up to the top. I would definitely recommend getting this!! Also, customer service was super helpful when I found out that the price had dropped (again) within a week since I placed my order and credited me back the amount that it dropped :-) woohoo!! thank u thank u!

    Best fleece ever!

I have a number of Patagonia pullovers. I love them all, but the Re-Tool is my absolute favorite.
It's so warm and soft but won't make you feel bulky. Looks great with pretty much anything and I can see myself wearing this into the Spring, just with less layers.
Only problem is deciding which other color I want to get it in!

    Buying a second one!

    • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

    • Size Bought: Medium

I already own the Tailored Grey/Nickel X-dye/Harvest Moon color and it is bathrobe-snuggly!!! It is just a smidge shaggier than the other Patagonia fleeces I have but this one the Must Wear one. It's nice that the bottom is not tighter--it hangs looser on your hips--so you don't get the mushroom-top look at your waist & hips. It is super warm by itself and uber toasty with a base layer. Love it!! I have the vest version of this too and it is also awesome!

This sweatshirt is perfect. I was worried my normal size would be too small (considering the other reviews) but it was perfect. It's also a lot warmer than it seems!

I love clothes that you can basically wear all the time but not look like a bum in! This is my go-to for a comfortable piece of clothing that is warm-but-not-too-warm.

Gift, but she couldn't be more happy

Gave this as a gift, but the recipient says the fit and warmth is exactly what she wanted. Lighter than a full plush jacket, but versatile enough for all-around use.

I absolutely love my Patagonia sweater, so much so that I ended up ordering another one. I currently own a black and white and I wear them all the time! Super warm and comfy. Love them.

    Patagonia does it again

Got the re-tool for my mom and sister for christmas and the feedback is pretty positive. They both said the same thing that this pull over is super comfortable and keeps them very warm.

Order a size up from your normal size

    • Familiarity: I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions
    • Size Bought: M and exchanged for L

After looking at the sizing chart, I originally ordered a medium. However, I am 5'10", 140lbs, and 34B. The sleeves and length were short and I didn't feel like I could layer under it. I returned it for a large and it's much better. However, way more roomier in the stomach area than I would like, especially for it being advertised as a slim fit. I'm ok with it since I like my sweatshirts to be roomy. And if I ever get pregnant, I can wear it for awhile with a belly, I guess!!! LOL. Overall, super soft and comfy. I will look for more colors on sale in the future.

I'm wondering whether I should size up or down; I am 5'9 and weigh 160 and usually wear a size 10. I normally don't like to have my jackets too tight and that is why I am torn between a medium or large

Aqua stone/Beryl Green Cross-Dye: Which color is the aqua stone -- the overall main color? -- and is the trim the Beryl Green Cross-dye or what? Please tell me which is which. Thanks

    Hey there,

So the "x-dye" denotation is referring to both dyes being mixed into the fabric. So the outcome of mixing Aqua Stone with Beryl Green is a lighter Beryl like you see here. The original Beryl looks like this:

    is this pullover lined?

Like Adora said, it is not lined. I agree with her comment it is incredibly cozy for that reason (not wind proof though). I've always wondered why with other fuzzy fleeces they line it (like the Patagonia Retro pieces) because I would rather have the fuzzy cozy material on the interior!

How purple is that color? It looks almost greyish. Thanks.

    Hey Julianne,

It's definitely purple, and is more muted than the sheen in our photos might suggest. It's kind of a 'heather', with some white flecks in the mix that lighten up the overall color. Hope that makes sense-- if not give me a call!
