Description

Happy geese for a happy you.

Until this year, your biggest winter fear was the Yeti. Now you awaken drenched in sweat from nightmares of The Polar Vortex. It's a good thing you've the awesomely updated Women's Down Sweater Jacket from Patagonia to fend off frigid temps and arctic blasts. 800-fill down comes from happy geese to fill out this form-flattering jacket. The feathers squish into a tight bundle to keep the jacket on small and hidden when you're not wearing it, whether space is special because you're living in a micro apartment on the Bay or you're on a three-week yurt tour in Switzerland.

Recycled polyester ripstop won't let the day-to-day bumps and snags unravel you or the jacket. The DWR finish turns snow into roller balls that slid off the jacket surface. Horizontal baffles are sewn through to prevent the goose from going places. The sweetly-treated geese who gave their feathers never felt the cool breezes on their featherless skin, nor were force-fed for future foie-gras feasting. Two zippered hand pockets hold your goods, be it candy and lipbalm, cheese-sticks and turkey jerky, or a smartphone and credit cards. With a slightly more sleek shape and robust (yet lightweight) fabrics, the revised Down Sweater Jacket protects you from the cold and wind, wherever life takes you.

What is the center back length of a medium?

New fit, but same great warmth

My first Patagonia down sweater is circa 2011 for comparison..... this year's version is an inch or two longer, which was needed and is awesome. Same great loft, warmth..... the fit/sizing is different though. My old down sweater is a XS and fits perfectly- like a slim fitting sweater. Now, the current XS fits good, but is too tight across the back shoulder width (like when crossing my arms). So, I had to get a size S, which is a roomier version, which means I could put another layer underneath. So, I feel like I now own 2 different versions of the down sweater for different needs. Just FYI.
