    The ultimate winter jacket.

When the Polar Vortex rips through your town, you'll be glad you have the awesomely updated Women's Down Sweater Jacket from Patagonia to fend off frigid temps and arctic blasts. Lightweight and compressible 800-fill down comes from happy geese (never force-fed, never live-plucked) to fill out this form-flattering jacket, and the down's even traceable if you need proof. Down keeps this jacket lightweight and compressible, making it perfect for everything from wearing under a shell while you ski, to stashing in your hiking pack for spare warmth, to just wearing around town on chilly nights.

Recycled polyester ripstop won't let the day-to-day bumps and snags unravel you or the jacket. The DWR finish repels snow and rain so flakes and droplets simple slide off the jacket's surface. Horizontal baffles are sewn through to prevent the down from shuffling around. Two zippered hand pockets hold your goods, be it sunscreen and lipbalm, candy and jerky, or a smartphone and credit cards. With a slightly more sleek shape and robust (yet lightweight) fabrics, the revised Down Sweater Jacket protects you from the cold and wind, wherever life takes you.

    Soft and warm

    • Familiarity:I've used it several times

This is my first down Jacket since the 80's and I love it! I've been wearing it for several weeks now. Temps have been in the 20's - 40's most days and it's been plenty warm. In fact, I've gotten too warm on several occasions. I wore it as my insulating layer skiing in 16 degree, snowing weather and I only started getting chilled at the end of the day. I'm 5'6 165lb female with a large bust. I ordered the XL and it fits great. It's roomier than I anticipated. The sleeves are a tad long, but to me this isn't a problem. The elastic keeps the jacket from slipping down onto my hands. With the jacket zipped completely up, there is still plenty of room for neckwear and it stayed tucked in nicely while skiing. My daughter has worn it several times and now wants one too! You can't go wrong with this jacket.

This jacket is lightweight, durable, water resistant and I seriously own 2 and have given 3 as gifts. It's a great piece to add to your closet and is a packable breathable layer for camping, skiing, snowshoeing or even just hanging out and looking cool on the east coast. My whole family loves this coat and the fit is kind of boxy rather than performance so it's good for petite ladies. Also, I made my wife write this review and she's the best.

    Love this jacket

I have had a Patagonia down jacket for the past 3 years and literally wear it almost every day... but you can't tell! It is still in great shape. I bought this jacket for my mom as a Christmas gift. This is her first down jacket and she was blown away by how warm it was, but also how easily it could be packed away.

    Great jacket!

I had an old Marmot jacket lying around that was fine except the lining was fleece so it wasn't warm enough and was very heavy. I bought this jacket as a replacement liner, and while it doesn't zip nicely into the shell they are an excellent pair. I've also found myself wearing it alone more than I thought I would. For me it is comfortable down to 30 degrees without the shell.

The fit is flattering and I've received complements on it. I bought the tailored white, which was probably a bad idea because it's been stained from my bike chain grease and it makes me look bigger than a darker color would, but it was on sale. Overall, it has met my needs and I'm glad I purchased it!

For sizing, I'm a consistent small in Patagonia clothes and this fits well with room for layers underneath.

Its nice, but not that warm.

    • Familiarity:I returned this product before using it
    • Fit:True to size

Honestly, I was very excited about this jacket, but the quality was not what I expected from a 200 dollar jacket. It just wasn't as warm as I thought it should be. Its comfortable, but make sure you buy a size up so you can wear another layer underneath. Also, the pockets were not that deep, so part of my hand was exposed when they were in the pockets. Ultimately, I returned the jacket. I would recommend trying on in store before you make the purchase.

    Year-Round Jacket

I am amazed by the warmth per weight ratio. Its breathabilty allows me to wear this jacket in mid 50 to mid 60s without feeling stuffy. I live in So California, so we don't have those harsh cold winters, I have worn this over a t-shirt in 50 degrees weather, will wind, and I can say it keeps me comfortable. I have used it over a fleece Patagonia Snap Pocket Full Zip Jacket, and ir keeps me plenty warm in mid to low 40s.
I got a "S" and it has enough room for a hoody or a fleece underneath. I'll wearing this on my next ski trip, so I'll update on how well it will do.. Nice and form fitting. Definitely a recommended buy.

    Great Jacket!

I purchased this for myself after gifting my husband with the men's version (obviously) a few years ago. I love it as much as he does! Packs down & provides great warmth although is very lightweight. My only concern is that the down started poking out in one place in the front, but did not unravel so didn't seem to be an issue.

    Great Jacket

I love this jacket. I've worn it pretty much every day all day since I bought it a few weeks ago. It fits perfectly. My only complaint is that the down has started poking through in two places (inside the right sleeve near the wrist and on the back near a seam). Other than that, it's perfect!

    Perfection!

This is my favorite jacket! It's warm and very lightweight - perfect for running errands around town, chasing after the kids, or going for a walk. I'm usually a borderline small/medium because I have broad shoulders, but the small is perfect for me.

    AWESOME

    • Familiarity:I gave it as a gift but have feedback to share

I got this jacket in black and green. It's sooo warm. It's a very flattering fitted jacket. It's super lightweight yet effective in the cold Utah days. Layer it with a Patagonia sweatshirt and you are golden.

    So warm and lightweight!

    • Familiarity:I've used it several times
    • Fit:Runs large
    • Size Bought: xs

I got this puffy as my first down jacket, and I wasn't disappointed! It's incredibly warm and is lighter and packs down more than any other jacket I own. I like it most for backpacking since it's so warm, lightweight, and takes up barely any room in my pack. I'm 5'1'' and 100 lbs and got an xs. It's maybe a little big, but perfect for when you want extra layers underneath when it gets really cold.

    • Fit:True to size
    • Size Bought: Medium

I bought a medium because prefer to have looser a loose fit and wanted to be able to wear baggy sweaters under it during the winter. So if I wanted a regular fit I'd buy a small, but alas, my wardrobe is full of clothes that are two sizes too big for me. One of my favorite features of this jacket is it packs into the chest pocket AND it has a loop to hook it to a carabiner if you're on a late season multi-pitch. I wear this to walk around town, alpine ascents, summer backpacking trips, climbing, car camping, and as a mid layer during extra cold days on the slopes. I've had other jackets in the past, but this one takes the cake.

    A Winter essential

    • Familiarity:I've used it several times
    • Fit:True to size
    • Size Bought: Extra small

I am 5'4 petite and the XS fits perfectly , a very flattering fit. I can throw on this jacket over a basic tank or tee and I Still stay warm in 30-40 degree weather! Which is great when layering seems tedious. Around 55 degrees you will get really toasty in this jacket. It is light yet effective. A down side that isn't really bad is that the lightness of the jacket makes it seem fragile and cheap at times . Hence I worry about what the jacket can and can not handle . Other than that it's definitely worth it to ensure warmth.

    Great fit and lovely color

I love this jacket. It is unbelievably warm and light. I've never had one before and bought it because of all the positive online reviews. I also like the length, around the hips. 140 lbs, 32 DD, 5'5", size medium. Arms are long enough as well!

    Great fit and lovely color

Gold standard for mtn town millennials

Great down for your downtown down. You know; you have one down for the camp site with ember holes all over it, then you have another for downtown where you pick your crew for the next camping trip. Get it? Wrap this around you to look stunning and feel just as good. Packs down small into it's own pocket and doesn't rip to shit like the Mountain Hardware Ghost Whisperer.

    One of my favs

    • Size Bought: M

I have had this jacket for 3 years now and still love it!!! It's lightweight but it keeps me really warm for much of what I do in winter here in Massachusetts. Last years snow dump was no match for my toasty Patagonia Down Sweater. I wear it almost every day for work, to cross-country ski, run, whatever! And it still looks great. other down jackets I've had spew feathers. This was has held on to almost all of its stuffing for three seasons. Even my mom tried it on this week and said ooooohhh this is NICE!

    One of my favs

Awesome jacket - but not for the petite

    • Familiarity:I returned this product before using it
    • Size Bought: XS

Great quality down jacket. So cozy and really warm! Packs small too. Unfortunately, the XS was really big on me. I'm just under 5' and 100lbs. Got it in Emerald and my roommate loved it so much that I exchanged it for a size small so that I could give it to her as a gift. She's about 5'7", 120lbs

I just got this Patagonia Nano Puff Sweater Jacket. I love the light weight, the feel and the color but the sleeves are way too long and the body is a little too long. Does it come in a petite?

for the patagonia down sweater, what is the difference between the sumac red and the turkish red? is one brighter than the other?

Is the Cochineal Red truly red or more orange-y? It's hard to tell from the photo.
