Runs very large and has a boxy cut
Despite everything else I own from Outdoor Research being a sz Med, this coat was way too big and the cut is very boxy so even layering wouldn't work. Unfortunately I bought it on Final Sale so no exchanges for smaller size allowed either. I am not sure what body type this coat would work for but if you decide to give it a try, definitely suggest sizing down and don't expect it to be a flattering coat. This is the first thing I've ever bought from OR that was disappointing. Love all their fleeces, jackets, vests and shirts. This was just a fail, even at the deep discounted Final Sale.

Great Parka!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This coat is lightweight but warm, it's a perfect transition piece and really comfortable. The pockets hold a cell phone, keys, and enough dog treats & bags for a long walk. It's also perfect when it's a gray, misty day.

Been wearing all winter long!
I bought this jacket in the fall as a casual replacement to another jacket that doesn't fit since I gained weight. I bought a L which is maybe a bit looser than I need, but there's room for bulky sweaters underneath. I've been wearing this jacket all winter long in Boston! With climate change, most days have been in the 40s so I haven't needed anything too warm. This jacket is lightweight but warm, less restrictive than other jackets, and the length is perfect for a city coat feel. But I would wear this hiking too! I totally recommend, and would buy again
