Why We Like The RadiantX Glove

With the light dwindling and temperatures plummeting we find ourselves reaching for the Outdoor Research RadiantX Glove more than ever. These gloves get their name from the heat reflecting lining, but we really like the dexterity and durability provided by the nylon and spandex face fabric. The result is a pair of gloves that are durable and warm enough for days on the slopes but soft and dexterous enough to hold an ice axe or tie a knot in a climbing rope.

Very well built and warmish if active.

For a relatively thin glove they seem warmish as long as I'm not standing around. Throw a hand warmer in there and they are fine. Good balance of mobility and warmth for active outdoors. The pull strap on the back should be a single strap and not double...my only criticism on design that is not as functional.

Fine but not warmer than other gloves of this bulk

Made well and fine overall but not sure the heiQ improves warmth retention. Also still prefer the BD Punisher glove for dexterity / grip when ice climbing

Use them for shoveling and other chores outside in the snow. They do the job

Sized small

Seem like great warm gloves but they are sized smaller than other OR gloves.

highly recommended

Gloves used for Alpine and AT skiing. They work as advertised. Keep the hands warm, excellent dexterity, dry quickly. I would highly recommend. I typically buy an XL glove size due to having wide fingers. The RadientX glove size Large size works fine for me.

Love it

With an extra liner it worked perfectly for me from - 9 F to 20 F on an intensive winter hike.

Great glove. Probably want to size up.

These gloves deliver on the promise of low bulk and warmth. Note, I have been through dozens of OR gloves and always wear a large. However, in these I should have gotten an XL. Probably my fault as I see they are "unisex." Nonetheless, properly fitted, they are a perfect BC ski glove for the downhill - even a bit tight, they wear much warmer than their slim profile and lightweight would suggest and take up little room in the pack.
