After this hat was blown off my head on a route, I immediately bought another one. It's light, packs down well, and looks half-way decent for an outdoor-specific hat.

A little bit too tall in the front, should be a bit lower profile. But very lightweight and very large. I have huge melon and the XL swallows my head.

I had one, it got stolen. First thing I did when I realized it was gone.... got online and ordered a new one. Even if I had found the other one, having two would be fine. I never go anywhere without this hat on or in my bag. I love the short brim, the folding feature on it is also nice for when the hat is in my back pocket or in my pack.

very handy. doesn't wrinkle when you stuff it in your pocket. good stuff.
the olive colour is better than the khaki, with this colour you'll see sweat-stains way much faster.
runs a bit big, as others have mentioned

i liked the hat and had read the reviews before ordering, but still ordered an XL; it was too big, so i exchanged easily and with the help of the BackCountry staff. It is a pleasure to deal with a company that appreciates and demonstrates good customer service; if I need anything in the future, i wlll definitely check with BackCountry
Love it

Packs great into a suitcase or backpack and you don't have to worry about bending the bill becuase it folds in half. Great fit and great for sun / rain. Even though it is not water proof it stills keeps your head dry in light rain. Not the most fashionable hat but its great for a hiking and backpacking.
Great Hat...

Sadly no, but the women's Switchback cap has the same foldable brim construction as the radar, and has a ponytail holdr. Sorry ren, I am not sure if you are a chic with a ponytail or a dude! I do love the radar regardless, and I am a chic who wears a ponytail, just not with the radar cap!

This hat is just as good as most of the reviews say, if not better. Bought it for a vacation in Costa Rica and wore it every day hiking, beaching, etc. Just folded it up and pocketed it at night. I'm picky about these things from a style perspective, and this hat looks good.
The folding brim is awesome and looks good even after a couple weeks of solid wear and tear, including being stuffed into the pocket of my board shorts on a regular basis. The size chart is accurate and it is a medium depth hat - not as deep as a traditional new era fitted cap, but not too shallow either. I am ordering another color and will probably start wearing them around the city as well.
Just what I have been looking for.

My only problem is that all the colors aren't pictured here, so it is hard to pick the right size color combination without alot of hassle. I have a relatively small head and the medium is a little loose, but comfortable. The small is snug. I don't need it snug, so I'm going for the medium. The bill of the hat has a scored seam that allows for folding the hat so it can be put into your back pocket. It does look a tad odd, but isn't a deal breaker for me. Backcountry, could you show the other colors for those of us who are picky about colors?
Nice Hat

This is a neat hat. It packs well due to the fact the bill is two pieces. Quite an idea.

I don't leave home without it. I love it! Also, I ordered an extra large and it was actually too big. With a flexfit hat I always get a l-xl and it's usually tight on my head until it gets broken in. Enjoy!

Great Cap. Dries fast, keeps rain and sun off, folds into pocket, durable. Can get hot because of polyester in seam.
Visor Depth

I recently bought this hat and like it a lot. It's much better suited to a day on the trail than your average baseball hat, since it absorbs a ton of sweat and still looks good. The one thing I was surprised about, though, was that the visor only extends 2 and 1/8 inches from the head. This depth works nicely for collapsing the hat and packing it, but I would have preferred a little more sun cover.
Good to go

This hat is great. Protects your head from foul weather and is super lightweight and breathable. I use this hat for casual and jogging in the rain. I'm a little b/w the L and XL, they both fit my head fine, so on sizing, the measurements are correct. I'm trying to grow my hair out, so the longer it gets the better the XL fits my head. Highly functional and stylish.
doesnt get any better

great for big heads like mine. the XL is is truly an XL. used it all summer as a wild land firefighter. extremely durable. not a broken stitch anywhere. very comfortable and breathable. the folding bill is awesome; when it comes time to put on my helmet it fold up small and goes in the pocket. would definitely recommend this to anyone. i own two
