HighCamp Glove
The HighCamp glove by Outdoor Research is a multipurpose glove to wear while adventuring in the winter. Redesigned with Vertical X insulation, the HighCamp effectively captures and holds heat while in the middle of a snowstorm. The waterproof Ventia insert keeps snow from finding its way into the glove so your hands stay protected when scrambling across a ridgeline of snow and rock. A removable liner is also touchscreen compatible and works great as a stand-alone pair of gloves while you're on the skintrack and need to shed a layer as you work your way back up the mountain.

Unexpectedly small
- Familiarity:
- I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions
- Size Bought:
- XL
- Height:
- 6' 4"
- Weight:
- 220
I bought these gloves in XL, which is my normal size. These gloves were the tightest XL ski gloves I’ve ever worn. Also the fingers were short. The tag says XL but they fit more like a large or even a medium. Most reviews of these gloves are very positive; I’m wondering if I received some kind of anomaly?? These gloves seem well made otherwise.

Warm and dry
Keept my hands dry and warm no matter the conditions from freezing rains, to sub zero temps. Removal liner is a nice feature

Survived an ice storm on Cayambe in these
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was in a near 10-hour ice storm while summiting and descending Cayambe. Put these on as my mid-layer gloves became drenched from all the wet. These gloves rehabbed my hands back to warm and kept them warm from summit back to base!

To soon
Use a variety of OR gear. This pair is to replace a pair that after many years, fingertips are splitting. Won't get the field test until next winter. Anticipate 5 star when AT skiing. Thank you. Always happy with quality, knowledge, service.

Solid choice
All-around winter glove for use in Alaska - primarily winter fatbiking. Have also used for snowblowing, other outdoor activities. Have used them in single-digit weather, but not below zero (yet). I've found them to be very warm, depending on level of activity. For more passive activities like riding a 4-wheeler, I didn't find them to be impressively warm, but for active use - biking for example, they're great. The inner gloves are useful, though the touchscreen capability seems hit or miss which can be frustrating. The gloves are very warm without the liner. I didn't read closely enough that the palms and backs are leather which doesn't thrill me, but thus far (several bike trips) it hasn't been a negative.

Third pair
I just love those glove. The fact that there is a insert pair of grove makes all the difference to me. Easy to clean, warm and long enough to cover your jacket sleeve.

Flimsy
I owned these gloves for a little over two weeks and the finger tips ripped and came apart. The material is not reinforced and cannot handle even light work. Customer service offered to send me tape...

Warm, versatile gloves
Everything I wanted in gloves. Fits my needs at work as a police officer and I can use them on the slopes. Stands up to New England winters

Very Disappointed, Would not recommend.
My parents asked me what I wanted for Christmas. Currently deployed to South Korea. My unit didnt issued me any cold weather gloves so I decided on these and my parents bought them and mailed them too me. I was hoping they would make my hands warm well stagnate. But my figers freeze in them unless im very actively moving like a fast ruck march. But just sweeping the motor pool or a patrol, my fingers freeze. I even added another wool liner and they still freeze. Says there rated for -5° to 25° but even in 10° weather my fingers are extremely cold. Unless im very actively doing something. Overall very disappointed with these gloves was hoping my hands would be toasty just standing. Because being in the Infantry you find yourself sitting outside in the cold doing nothing alot. So for a military use they are not a good decision. On the design of the gloves one thing that is annoying is the strings that synch down the cuffs. Hang off too much and get caught of stuff well moving through brush. I do like the wrist strings for you can wear. So when you take off your gloves you dont have to worry about loosing them. Overall very disappointed wish I would have gone with a different pair. This is my first time choosing outdoor research and I dont know if I will again. Would not recommend this for anyone in the Military. Would ask for a refund but since my parents bought them for me and it took a soild month for them to get here, I dont want to deal with the hassle. Plus I need them for upcoming field events.

Well made but could be warmer
Gloves seem well constructed. They aren't as warm as expected. Could use more insulation in the fingers.
