Perfect hat for my backpacking quilt
A disadvantage of my backpacking quilt was the lack of a 'hood'. I wanted a head cover that doesn't weigh much and is super warm! This fits the bill for both of those requirement!! And it packs down amazingly small, so doesn't take up any extra space in my pack! Of note is I bought the small first and switched to the large to cover my ears.

Nice insulating Hat
- Size Bought:
- L/XL
I didn't wear the hat yet, i just tried it on. It runs small. I have the feeling that because of the material it will make it a little harder to hear - the material is noisy against the ear, in a way. Good quality.

Nice for a bald head
I keep my head shaved. This Beanie Keeps my head nice and warm. I have some wool beanies and sometimes they are too much. This light weight beanie is just right. Great fit with a Xl for me.

doesn't stay on my head
I got the XL/L beanie and you have to pull it all the way down to where your eyelids are in order for it to stay. If it goes up, it'll fly away in the wind. Wish I could return it but it will cost me $6.95 to return it back. Sigh.

could use a larger size..
Great little hat. Bought this special to go with my (hoodless) quilt. Really helps me sleep warm. Also great for chilly mornings around camp. My only complaint is it's not available in a larger XL size.

Warm addition to my sleep system
I don't consider this down beanie as clothing, I consider it part of my sleep system. It is the perfect addition to down booties and my down sleep sack. I'm good down to 18° With a 20° bag.

RUNS SMALL
I measured my head at 22 inches so purchased the small/medium (which was recommended for 22 inches), the hat is tiny! definitely need a large for 22 inches.

Ugliest hat you've ever seen
My husband got this hat to wear when going on exercise with the military and to wear in out hot tub. It is the ugliest hat you've ever seen in your life and does not fit well. Think Devo energy dome circa 1980. Not a flattering look but I guess if you're looking for a VMware functional hat this'll do. Oh and the rip stop fabric does not allow you to put another hat on top, it just slips off.

Lightweight warmth
I use this puffy beanie along with a fleece headband and a silk balaclava. The three together meet all my needs on many a long backpacking trip and weigh less than four ounces. The beanie is too warm for hiking in all but the coldest temps. That's what the headband is for.
