burly but lightweight overshirt

Familiarity:
I've used it several times

I really like these as a casual overshirt or flannel alternative. The material is a lightweight ripstop poly-cotton, and it's quite breathable but has a nice heft to it. I typically wear them open over a t-shirt or light henley; the fit is a bit boxy through the midsection, as are most work shirts, but they look good open or with the top couple of buttons open over a layer. No, other reviewers, it does not work as anything but a casual work shirt; it looks like workwear, not anything business- or smart casual. Issues? The wrists are quite tight but I usually wear the sleeves rolled, so this doesn't bother me but it might you, if you wear shirt sleeves rolled down and have thick wrists or big hands. On sale, I can forgive some slight fit issues.

This shirt is niiiice

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I can't believe how tough but also classy this shirt is. I wish I had bought two, cause I want to get it dirty already but it's just so good looking that I need to wear it on a date first. The fit is great on me (5'10", 180lb).

Weird sizing

I am 5' 11" 190lbs athletic build. I purchased both medium and large to compare fit. The medium looked good but was tight in the shoulders and upper back restricting movement. The large was way to loose in the midsection with far to much excess material. I returned both. However build quality of the shirts was excellent. Seemed very durable. Some have mentioned these shirts could pass as "dressed up" attire. That is pretty subjective but I disagree. The ripstop design of the fabric is very noticeable and the design and stitching of the chest pockets seem very casual to me. I would put the fashion level of the shirts on par with a solid long sleeve t-shirt. Again just my opinion and I was wanting a casual shirt anyway so that wasn't an issue. For a workshop/yardwork/casual shirt I think these would be very good if the fit works for you.

Well made, great stitching, durable.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] So excited I bought 2. Great work shirt. Runs a little large so buy a size down.

Solid Workshirt

The jury is still out, but I think this will be my new 4-season field shirt. So far I've worn it during the spring and summer. I've found it to be very comfortable and able to stand-up to some adverse conditions. Very happy with my purchase.

Love this shirt. So well made.

Its definitely on the higher end in terms of quality and fit for a work shirt. I probably wouldn't use it to dig ditches as an example (just because its a nice shirt and not really fitting for that activity). But other types of outdoor work this is a great shirt. I've "dressed this up" with some nice pants and a nice coat and it works and looks great. In colder weather I can pair this up with a base layer and a nice jacket and I'm feeling comfy and warm. And it looks sharp. My only watchout would be its bulky enough that I wouldn't try to use this with a mid-layer of any kind. At that point you'd just feel like the younger brother from A Christmas Story.

Bought one and then ordered another color!

Great weight in the rip stop fabric. Not too light or heavy but durable. I wear in the wood shop but also as a very comfortable top all day. The fit for me is excellent. Room to move but not baggy.

Great Shirt

It's light but can take heavy duty work, and also looks very good I got the M size and fits a little bit large but still I consider it a good fit.
