Very good pants

  • Familiarity:I returned this product before using it
  • Fit:True to size

Ordered large, grey for 34-35 waist. Fit well and good color. Inseam seemed correct for ~33. Not overly baggy, but still too much for my taste which runs a little conservative. Overall build quality very good but could be tweaked. For example, in other ski pants the vent zippers are backed by mesh, these open right to your leg - just a matter of taste, though. Overall build quality good - zippers, fitting, etc. is good - nice, heavy fabric.

Plenty warm

  • Familiarity:I've used it several times
  • Fit:True to size

I'm a complete noob to skiing. Bought this pant and the matching jacket based on previous great experiences with OR gear for a trip out to Jackson Hole. I obviously didn't put this gear through its paces in deep powder, but I crashed tested the hell out of it and both jacket and pants look no worse for wear even after a couple of nasty yard sales.

Temperatures ranged from -5 to mid-20s F with some stiff wind occasionally, and I was perfectly warm with just a light base layer. Loved having inner and outer vents on the thighs and needed them when it warmed up. Pocket placement is good, wish the pulls on the zips were just a half inch longer.

I'm 6', 185lbs, 32" waist, 33" inseam. Medium pant fits true to the size chart. Relaxed fit without being bulky, plenty of length - I was close to stepping on the hem when I wasn't in my ski boots.

Great fit but durability issues

  • Familiarity:I've put it through the wringer
  • Fit:True to size

I'm 160 lbs and 5'11 and the mediums fit me well. They looked nice and are versatile pants. Comfortable on mild days and warm enough on cold days in the Alps however I had significant durability issues. I skied about 30 days on them and finished the season with a blown zipper on the pocket, a tear in the legs, a tear under on my backside, and scuffs all around. I'll be trying to return / exchange for another pair of pants this season.

Inbounds Chargers

  • Familiarity:I've put it through the wringer

These pants are dry. These pants look good. These pants are warm.

The pockets are laid out well and the fit is relaxed. The warmth of these pants is welcome on those inbounds storm days when the temp is dropping and you're spinning laps on the lift.

They may be too warm for some who are earning their turns in moderate temps but these are sure to be a cold weather favorite.

I would like to replace the North Face...

I would like to replace the North Face insulated freedom pants I currently am using with a pair of these OR Axcess pants. Can you tell me how they compare from a sizing perspective? that would help me a lot as returns cross border can be a pain.
