perfect all-rounders - WFH, travel, out and about

I love the material and fit of these pants, they're perfect for traveling, getting out and about for errands, you name it. They're great.

Butter

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Love these joggers. Super soft but also durable. Fit great (5'11" and 145lbs size small) and extremely comfortable. I bought another pair in blue.

Supremely comfortable pants

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Great, lightweight pants that easily move with you. Nice-looking, comfortable and functional, warmish-weather pants. Third pair - love 'em.

Be wary if you're lean at the waist

I have a 30" waist, and a small per the OR size guide. 6'0, 175, ahletic build for reference. These fit just slightly looser than tights - nothing like the pictures. Regardless, the smalls would be way too close to the skin to be functional for the intended purpose of warmer weather technical/athletic use and would be run hot. Wish these fit more like the ferrosi pants which are loose enough to aallow some air circulaion in hotter weather. Disappointing especially since the design is conceptually excellent. They're lightweight, and the astro fabric in front is soft and breathable. Very well made like all OR products. Elastic waist band is nice and tall and comfortable. No complaints asside from the fit, and I can't imagine these working on anyone with a longer, thin frame.

Super comfortable!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is my second purchase of OR Astro pants. Super lightweight and comfortable. Next best thing to wearing shorts.

Good pants for hot weather, with some caveats

Great pants-- my new favorite for sun protection in hot weather. Fabric combination is great. The cut is trim but still allows for more ventilation than a jogger style. BUT... the drawstring is just stupid. The closed loop that is already too short is a pain in the butt. I have gotten used to making a simple overhand loop, but designers made this harder than it needs to be.

Great, comfortable, summer hiking pants

I got these to provide some tick protection while not being too hot in the summer, and these are perfect for this. The fabric is incredibly light and breathable - in a light breeze it's like wearing shorts. Without a breeze, they are of course a little warmer, but that's unavoidable. They fit great and look pretty good too. My only "complaint" is that the left pocket is no different from the right, despite the description saying there is something special. No real concern their, just found it odd.

Overall very good, missing internal phone pocket

These pants are extremely comfortable, lightweight, and versatile. I'd feel comfortable wearing these just about anywhere and for anything, from the trail to the office. I was initially concerned with the drawstring design after reading one of the comments, but the fit was true to size and the drawstring can be tied up negating the issue. My only critiques are with the lack of an interior mesh phone pocket in the left hand pocket so that I wouldn't have to keep my phone in the back zip pocket and that the colors of the front and back materials of the naval blue pair I got are not quite the same.

These have the worst drawstring closure Ive ever experienced

I wanted to love these, hoping to replace my Patagonia Terrebonne joggers. Sadly these suffer from having a poor fit as well. The worst feature about these pants, however, is the terribly designed drawstring closure that is in fact one loop (as opposed to two loose ends). The biggest problem is that OR did not leave enough cordage to actually tie a knot or do anything with so instead of being able to "tailor" my fit on the fly, I just have a a weird drawstring loop that I can only pull out a few inches and do nothing with. For reference I am 6ft, 200lbs, 34 waist and went with size Large. The pants are more conforming than the Terrebonne joggers too, which is a bummer. Maybe I should have sized up to XL? I don't know.
