Lightweight and useful; could be better
- Familiarity:
- I've put it through the wringer
- Size Bought:
- small
I used this recently while traveling, as well as doing long and strenous day hikes in wet conditions. It was lightweight, and the cover was waterproof. However, it fit my pack clumsily, risking getting the contents wet. It didn't snug up close to both the top and bottom of my pack- only one or the other, as it only cinched at the bottom. A simple elastic strap that tightened between the top and bottom- on the strap side of the backpack- would go a long way toward a more custom fit. I did not use it on an Osprey pack in this instance but a Patagonia daypack, so perhaps it works better on them?

Simple, Light, Effective

I love this pack cover. It's small and compact enough that I don't ever think twice about bringing it. I like the elastic captures that go onto your hip belt, very simple and secure. The fabric is slippery (for lack of a better word) and slides nicely over my pack. It also is VERY adjustable for varying loads (I use it with a 75L Osprey Ariel).
