Description

Surf, cruise, or fish from this maneuverable sit-on-top.

Slide onto the Ocean Kayak Scrambler 11 Sit-On-Top Kayak and ride the waves at the beach, take a cruise around the lake, or hit the pond for some fishing. This simple, open kayak platform has a more aggressive hull shape than most sit-on-tops of the same design, and this gives you a boat that tracks straight and feels stable with little effort on your part. Paddlers of all sizes and abilities will feel right at home on this versatile craft.

  • Hull utilizes a tri-form design that pairs an integral keel with sponsons in a step-down shape that allows this boat to track straight on calm water and also feel stable in rough water
  • Seat well is molded into the top of the deck and features a wide, contoured shape for a variety of sizes of paddlers
  • Molded footwells provide support for paddlers with a variety of different leg lengths
  • Small, six-inch storage hatch at the cockpit has a locking hatch cover that keeps water away from your small valuable
  • Rear tankwell is large enough to hold a drybag full of essential gear and the bungee-cord retention system keeps everything in place
  • Molded cup holders keep your cold beverage close at hand when you're paddling
  • Threaded drain plug allows you to drain water from the hull
  • Paddle holders keep your paddle from floating away when you need both hands to reach something at the bow or stern
  • Side-mounted carry handles make it easy to load and unload this boat from your car or from the water

I live on the Texas Gulf Coast and take this kayak out in the surf, the bay, and the coastal marshes. It does well in all respects. The wind does catch it a little, but its managable. Seems durable and looks good! FUN!!

Fun in surf and flat water

I have lots of experience revolving around these fun, stable boats. The boats are great for calm to very mild water turbulence. They blow around easily and can be a bit top heavy in high winds. These boats can be carried. Dragging them can easily wear through the plastic. I have seen them punctured, but it took quite a wollop to put a hole in the plastic. The boats hold up well to oyster beds.

I recommend these boats for leisure paddling in bays, on lakes/ponds, and in calm ocean waters.
