Barley Shell Jacket - Men's

Obermeyer packed its Men's Barley Shell Jacket with resort-friendly and backcountry-friendly features. Its HydroBlock membrane gives this jacket exceptional waterproof protection that keeps you dry when you plow the pow in the backcountry, and Obermeyer taped the seams most likely to let wet weather seep through for extra protection. Despite its waterproof capabilities, this jacket remains surprisingly breathable so you stay comfortable when you hike up to the ridge. Its freeride fit leaves plenty of room for layers on frigid days. Obermeyer also added stretchy fabrics in key areas to keep up in the terrain park.

The Barley's Control Zone Ventilation features underarm vents that let out some steam when you work up a sweat hiking up to the top of the park. Its powder skirt keeps snow off your backside, and you can snap it away when powder isn't an issue. Obermeyer integrated water-resistant zippers at the center front and the napoleon pocket for additional waterproof protection that most jackets lack. The hood cinches tightly across your head to protect you from stormy weather, and you can remove it when there's nothing but a sunny ski overhead. Thumbholes at the wrist gaiters keep the sleeves in place, and both the adjustable outer cuffs and hem seal out the cold elements so you can ski comfortably.
