Nordica must have made a deal with the devil while designing its Women's Hell and Back H1 Alpine Touring Boot because this boot is ready to go down there and lay down some serious tracks. When it does freeze over, that is. Its screw-adjustable 120 progressive flex and lightweight Triax shell flex consistently in any temperature. Nordica oriented the instep buckle at a 45-degree angle to your ankle joint to pull your ankle directly in the heel pocket so your foot doesn't slide while you're powering down narrow chutes or dodging frozen demons.
The FSE shock-absorbing foam padding inside the Hell and Back cushions your foot and reduces impact on your heel, toes, calves, and shins without affecting performance. The 3D Tech Fur heat-moldable liner comforts your foot, soft shell flaps make it easy to get your foot in and out, and the Bootfitters Best Friend system features a grid that helps boot-fitters dial in the fit accurately if you still have problem spots. The Weather Shield system sheds snow off the boot so you can shred pow as comfortably as you cruise corduroy.
