Portland-based Nau sets out to redefine outerwear as something that incorporates both urban style with technical proficiency while minimizing environmental impacts to better suit the modern lifestyle. You could say the company pulled it off with its Men's Ternary Jacket. Stylish enough to wear out on the town, but technical enough to get you to snowy summits, the Ternary is the perfect jacket for the urban-dwelling, mountain-adventuring man.
The 3-layer shell is composed entirely from recycled polyester, and features fully taped seams to stop moisture, as well as a DWR finish to fend off light rains and snow. Fitted with all the necessary features of a serious shell, the Ternary features two underarm ventilation zips to allow air to circulate through during ascents, and incorporates adjustable cuffs and hem to seal in heat when the temperatures drop. The helmet-compatible hood fits around your ski or snowboarding helmet, so you'll have no excuse not to protect you melon. Meanwhile, two hand, one chest, and two internal pockets keep everything you need for your morning commute, or high-altitude winter adventure, close at hand.
