Mountainsmith knows that you’re passionate about hiking and taking photos, and its Trekker FX 7075 Monopod Trekking Pole perfectly combines the two. As you trek along while holding the comfortable foam grip and molded EVA handle, slip out of the adjustable wrist webbing and remove the handle cap to place your DSLR camera on top of the 1/4-20 SAE bolt. Once you capture that epic photo, simply replace the cap and move on.
At only 10.5 ounces, the Trekker FX is made of lightweight and strong aluminum, and the double cam twist lock lets you adjust it up to 54 inches down to 26 when it’s compressed. This adjustability is not only helpful for the extra tall or short hiker, but it’s perfect for those shots that require a specific pose for the camera. As added comfort, this pole has a spring loaded anti-shock system to save your joints and a carbide tip for needed traction on rocky terrain. The included basket is made for hiking, but it’s removable so you can easily swap it out for a snow basket in winter. And when you walk inside and spot another picture-perfect moment, simply cover the tip with a rubber boot and snap away.
