Fantastic amount of Protien
Great tasting meal, I added 1/8 cup more water and a pad of butter along with some Slap Ya Momma perfect.

Very satisfying and tasty
Have been a long time backpacker. Always pick mountain house. The chicken and mashed potatoes is by far my favorite. I’ve never had an entree I didn’t like. Can’t go wrong

One of the Best
Too bad this is a limited release. Everything about it is great. Flavor, texture and easy to prepare. I find this meal is the closest to instructions when it comes to amount of water. I use one and two-thirds cup and it comes out great every time. Would buy this every order if it was a regular.

Gluten Free and really tasty
The gluten free meals that Mountain House makes have been used by me but my favorite is this meal. Great taste, easy to use and satisfying all my requirements.

Limited release? This is my new favorite
I have been eating your food since the early 90s, and beef stroganoff was my favorite until I tried this one. Certainly you have many other greats, but this one is the best !

Super Tasty!
Bought this a couple weeks ago for my upcoming AT hike. Wanted to test out some different choices before actually getting on the trail. LOVED this one. Very flavorful and extremely filling without bloat. 10/10 recommend!

Great Meal!
This is probably my favorite Mountain House meal. They are sometimes hard to find. It’s changed from the original when the chicken used to be 2 portions. Now they are diced up into little bite sized pieces but it still tastes great. The mashed potatoes are good and the meal is a perfect portion size. Add in your own canned vegetable with it and your good to go!

What is the shelf life for this chicken amd mashed potato dinner? I'm just wondering if you can buy these for long term food storage (like they last upto 25 years unopened etc...) or do they expire within a few months or last less than 5 years?

Elsewhere on your website you say all of the pouches last ~35+ years (I can’t remember the number). For this product there is an old question from seven years ago and the answer says they only last 12+ years. Is that just outdated?
