My best investment for skin and sensory needs!!!
MAJOR FAN. I waited until mid fall last year because I like to sleep on my purchases, but honestly wish I had committed sooner to have worn during the warmer seasons. Saying this because if you're on the fence, highly recommend to take the plunge for these reasons: - The texture of this fabric solves all my sensory needs. I climb so my hands get pretty beat up, and the way the material of other UPF shirts gets caught on my calluses makes me physically ill. This was a major reason why I bought the sun hoody- there's nothing in market quite like it - Speaking of sensory, the hood fits perfect under my climbing helmet and doesn't have any obnoxiously thick seams that press into your skull. The elastic on the cuffs of the sleeve allows the material to sit loosely on your body / arm (no clinging to sweaty skin = big win!!) without getting in the way during your activity. I found this especially useful climbing, but can imagine I'll appreciate it in the future while setting up the tent and cooking around camp - The length of everything is perfect for me. I'm 5'2 and weigh 110lbs. My torso is proportionally small, and my legs / arms long. I typically struggle finding something that accommodates my physique, but something about Mountain Hardware hoodies just do right by me - Lastly, it's pretty high fashion by mountain casual standards. I ended up buying the sunshadow for a climbing trip to the desert (Red Rocks). I got lots of compliments on it from the women in my group- two of them ordered theirs while on the trip, and another bought hers shortly after! Since then, I've been effortlessly pairing it with the rest of my wardrobe and there's truly nothing quite as versatile, comfortable, and functional. I'm thinking of gifting some to my parents for their biking trips! - A not-so-major miss would be that I got mine in White Sprite which I was hoping to be a true cream, but in person, it has a faint pink tinge to it. It doesn't show up much in pictures or in the product photos, but under certain lights, the pink is annoyingly noticeable

my search is over!
This is a wonderful summer hoodie. I wear it or the pullover almost every day to cut down on my sun exposure. The material is very light weight and still comfortable next to the skin. The sleeves are long enough for everything except cycling. I do wish MH would make this with longer sleeves and thumb holes. (An older MH hoodie is designed that way and it's also great for paddleboarding.) The hood is great and I think works best with a ball cap. The pockets are nice feature. What I really love about this hoodie is that it doesn't absorb much water and dries quickly so i can dampen it for a quick cooling effect on hot days.

Sized small in shoulders
I bought a Small based on my size in other MH tops, but it was too small across my shoulders (fabric has very little stretch) so it does not fit and is uncomfortable to wear. Other than the sizing issue, it is a well designed sun shirt. If MH gave more measurements in their size guide it would be helpful to select the right size.

Great Sun Hoody!
This sun hoody checks all the boxes. Lightweight, great colors, a HUGE front pocket. The crepe material is nice in that it won't wrinkle when shoved in a pack. Elastic cuffs and waist band feel sturdy. Only wish is that there was a drawcord in the waist hem to have the option to cinch it down. I am 5'4" / 125 lbs and the XS fits me with plenty of room to move around or add layers under if needed.

Comfy
Love this, it's very lightweight and comfy. It is a little see through, but other than that it is a nice bright fabric.

Wrinkle resistant
Really happy about this crepe paper fabric, it's already textured, so no wrinkles show. Can't stick to the skin on sweaty days, and won't wrinkle in my bag. Baggy fit, small neck hole.
