You're not going to find a bunch of needless features on the Straight Chuters. Instead, what you'll find is simple functionality with minimal pockets and a single outer thigh vent. The two hand pockets house a hand-warming fleece lining, while the single thigh pocket is big enough to store a trail or topo map. The waist is adjustable through the two hook and loops tabs, but it includes belt loops, so you can go ahead and throw your own belt on there, too. The laminated softshell fabric has fully taped seams, making it adequate protection for all but the wettest storm days. And it's super breathable when you're boot packing or skinning to your line.
