Ok

A little too clingy. Fits more like a sock. Not great but ok.

Fit is off and missing the old fabric

Definitely not the same as the older version. Bring it back!

Perfect layering component!

I'm very happy with this layer! I'm sold on the grid technology and will be worn or in my pack on every shoulder season trip in the future. Perfect fit.

Daily wear comfort that looks good.

Stretchy and warm, a great fitting jacket. I wear it daily. I'm 6'2", 220lbs with a muscular build and I wear an XL.

Love this thing.

Man, this thing is awesome. Perfect temperature range for what I was hoping for and a lot more comfortable than I was expecting. Recently had it on for the first leg of a 14 mile day hike and it reduced the amount of layer changing on the hike to zero. Little tight on the forearms, but not noticable if you're just wearing a base under it. Would wear it non stop if I wasn't a slob.

Good performance

Very warm for how light out is. I got this to replace bulkier fleece mid layers and it performed very well even in wet conditions.

Worthy Monkey Fleece Successor

A great successor to my old Monkey Fleece, which I loved. The chest pocket is a little low, for pack compatibility, but I wish it were at the older height. The Monkey Fleece was high loft on inside and out, and I feel like that's what made the wear zones (elbow, shoulder) more susceptible to blowouts. I do not see that happening with this one. It's hard backed fleece on the outside, leading to more durability, and nice loft soft fleece on the inside. The grid is on the entire hoodie, sans the thumb holes, and palm area. I do wish this had a bottom hem cinch, but it's not the end of the world. Comfortable to wear on its own, with a light layer under, and with a vest. It's late spring in California, so I haven't tested in very cold or wet weather, though I'm sure this would be great under a rain shell, or down, if needed. It's slim profile and lightweight will make it a staple in my work life when the cold returns, and it's breathability, like with the older Monkey Fleece, are really what make it one of my favorite jackets. 5'9, 170lb runner, yoga, lifter body type, ordered a Large to give me more space in the armpits, which I feel like were always too shallow on my Medium Monkey Fleece, this fit is great. Medium will work if you want next to skin styling.

Great improvement

I love this item. I had a previous grid fleece from them a couple years ago that was much lower quality. The most frustrating thing I’ve had from other mountain hardwear jackets are cheap zippers but this one is good quality. My only complaint would be that I wish they also offered it in a non-hooded version. I’m 5’11 / 190 lbs and a medium fit well.

Light weight, perfect transition layer in between seasons and on the cooler mornings. Breathable, just great. Size is to fit for a large so if you have a little extra padding may need to go a size bigger than listed.

Great Middle Layer, sized to fit form. Just right!
