Hat Received Looks Different

I can't rate the hat's usefulness so far but I will say that it came without the logo and the strap is not blue. For some that may be a good thing for some that may be a bad thing. It feels light and soft, pleasant to the touch and the brim is quite large. Haven't tested. Turns out you can machine wash it so that's a big plus imo. There is nothing holding the brim to a certain shape so it's a bit floppy; wish there was a little hold so I could shape it like a cowboy hat. I have a size medium head in helmets and this hat is slightly loose. Not the point where I would return it or couldn't wear it, but if you have a small head I imagine this might not feel good. The entire strap is removable, which is a cool innovative feature.

You will definitely appreciate it !

I'm going on a long journey to Africa(trekking) and therefore, I approach the choice of equipment with balanced criticism, I have been actively testing different things for over a year now to assemble a set of universal, qualitative and long-lived equipment(for different landscapes and climatic zones). Rain Hat from Mountain Hardwear this is a real find, I took it on mountain trekking from mid-March to mid-November(Carpathians, altitude over 2000 meters) and used in different weather, this thing withstood all challenges, I was comfortable all the time.

Very fragile

If you think it looks like a good hat for camping, think twice... I boutght this hat just a few months ago and I was wearing my hat next to a camp fire just one time and after that I noticed my hat had many small white holes from the fire sparks as the material metled just by received very small sparks like any normal fire emits. So i think it's way too fragile for camping.

Water resistant and comfortable!

I'm a indoor climbing coach and instructor and an avid outdoor climber as well in the New England area and keeping tge sun out of my eyes and head dry in the rain during hikes and approaches was what I needed and that exactly what I got and more. The Exposure 2 hat did exactly what it sought out to do keep you dry and keep the sun out of your eyes if needed on those bright days. I absolutely loved how comfortable this hat was every time I put it on from the moment that I took it out of the packaging and tried it on. On a few rainy hikes I had tried it out and keeping you dry was definitely what they had in mind when making the Exposure 2. I had used it in a complete downpour and it lasted a few hours before I started to notice that the hat was starting to actually get wet. Most of the other hats out there don't compare to the Exposure 2. One of the awesome features that I had taken full advantage of was the fact that I could detach the straps that tighten up on the chin when I was bouldering for easy on and off moments. And when I was cleaning routes if I didn't want it on I could leave the straps on so it could stay around my neck. It is also super lightweight and packable for a hat of its size which was great because when you have to pack it away with your climbing gear, fitting everything in your bag is the last thing you want to worry about, but because it's flexible it was not a problem in the slightest. As a climber it's a no brainer to go with this hat on a rainy hikes or approaches.
