Why We Like The Mountain Hardwear Dynama Lined High Rise Pant

When things get a little chilly on the mountain, we like the Mountain Hardwear Dynama Lined High Rise Pant. The Dynama fabric features plenty of stretch, and it's brushed for extra warmth for our shoulder season hiking and winter bouldering. We like the high-rise waist for comfort and the cinch at the waistband and hems for a performance fit for our mountain pursuits.

Great Adventure Pant

Comfy, lined pant that delivers on the high waist so I don't worry about moving and bending while out and about. Exactly what I'd hoped for!

Very comfortable

Very happy with these lined pants. They have a drawstring to keep them in place. I'm a bit curvy, they are snug over my hips, but fit my waist great (XL 220lbs). So soft and comfortable, no scratchy seams and tag free, no rubbing, great for longer cold hikes (used for 30°). The velcro side pockets are not great, (but I will probably remove the velcro at some point)... you have to use two hands to open, with a over flap there is really no reason for the velcro. Side lower pocket fits my phone perfect. I wish the material was a bit tougher, snagged them on some prickers first hike I went on.

Very soft and comfortable.

I've used these pants on a variety of hikes recently. I found that they are VERY comfortable. A bit fitted at the waist, so getting the over hips is a little slow (XL 220lbs). But once over my hips, the draw string is very nice to keep them in place. For hikes around 30° F they were perfect. No need for extra long johns. The side pockets are deep, I don't love the velcro (I will probably take it off someday) overall keeps things in reach, zipper pocket fits my phone. Draw string on the leg opening will be handy for muddy walks in the cold wet Michigan spring. Wish they were a bit more durable material, snagged on a few prickers first trip out. But overall would recommend.

Comfy, but not for curvy people

I'm 5'8, 125 pounds. Waist 26 inches, hips around 38. I wouldn't consider myself "curvy", but if you have any bum, these can be a pain to get on. I bought a size small, and they're difficult to get over my hips but then pretty relaxed in the waist, but the drawstring helps. My phone doesn't fit in the zippered pocket, and it takes two hands to get the phone in the Velcro pockets, so not super convenient. Otherwise they're comfy. I ran errands in them in 10⁰ weather today and my legs were warm enough.

Too short - not 32" inseam as stated in description

Great pants but the inseam is NOT 32", therefore they are too short and will be returned. Disappointing that the description states they are 32", and customers are stuck paying to return ship the pants back.

Not up to par with older style

I have 2 other (older styles, apparently) pairs of these pants and they're my go-to pant in cool to cold weather. These, however, are different. The outer fabric is stiffer and the pockets have not only been moved to the side instead of the front, but they're too small to be of any use.

These pants are Just right

Comfy, true to size. The liner is lightweight but keeps me warm in the air conditioning and it isn’t too hot.

Liner could use a material that is stretchy like the actual pants.

These fit great like the unlined Dynama pants and are comfortable however I am only giving them a 3 because when hiking on a cold day and you get a little sweaty on a climb the liner sticks and limits your knee bend. I kept trying to pull the liners up so they wouldn’t do this but that did t really work.

Women's Dynama Lined High Rise Pant is excellent for cooler weather

The Dynama Lined High Rise Pant is a good addition to my transitional outdoor apparel for cooler weather. This pant will serve me well during fall and early winter hikes. The outer fabric and liner are light and allow for flexibility of movement. The pull on style sits right at the hip with a wide, comfortable waistband. I really appreciate the details that include 2 hip pockets and 1 side pocket at the thigh. I am 5'7" and the pant length comes to my ankle and has adjustability to cinch up the pant leg. The cut of the pant provides enough room to also wear long underwear underneath for some added warmth. I wear a size Medium which translates to an 8/10. These fit well.
