When you want a pair of shoes that will handle both dirt and pavement during your runs, add the Montrail Women's FluidFeel III Running Shoe to your carefully cultivated shoe collection. This ruggedly stylish shoe has swagger for walking tours, grippy bottoms for when it's time to take to the trails, and a midsole that sucks up the shock of running regardless of the surface.
Mesh up top lets fresh air in and sweaty air out. Synthetic overlays offer a bit of support without being overly intrusive. Since it's designed to firmly hold your foot, those who favor uber-thick socks may want to go up a half-size. The 8mm drop lets you walk comfortably yet won't interfere with you mid-foot favoring running gait. FluidFoam goes from the tips of your toes to the back of your heel to cushion your footstrikes for long-moving comfort.
Gryptonite sticky rubber on the heel gets your heel-heavy gait off to a great start. Blown rubber takes over and runs the length of the remainder of the sole. While snarly singletrack and uber-techy trails might be slightly out of reach of the FluidFeel III, you'll go from your front door to the hard-packed dirt trails and back home again with ease.
