    Details

Crafted to imitate a mostly nocturnal stonefly, the Montana Fly Company Yeti Hopper 6-Pack is an excellent choice for late-summer fishing early in the mornings, just before the sun hits the water. Fish these flies right up to the bank, near where slow water by the bank meets the faster current of the main channel.

    • Nocturnal stonefly imitation for early mornings or late evenings
    • Comes in pack of 6
    • Foam body for life-like appearance
    • Item #MLC0009

    Good terrestrial(ly) pattern

    • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

Good, relatively versatile foam pattern. Foam absorbs water, so it will need to be dressed regularly for the appropriate presentation. I typically drop something off the larger patterns when fishing smaller pockety water. Visibility in that scenario is good

    Awesome fly

    • Familiarity: I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions

These purple hoppers are legit. They float well due to the foam body and the purple coloring is a bit different from your normal hopper pattern, which can be of benefit when fishing for heavily-pressured fish. Caught fish in Montana with these bad boys so they do work.
