Why We Like The Merrell Moab Speed 2 GTX Hiking Shoe
Now with 30% more foam underfoot, the Merrell Moab Speed 2 GTX Hiking Shoe keeps things light on our feet and comfortable on the trail. Had to return
I normally wear size 8-9. I ordered 81/2 in these. They were very tight. I would have needed at least a size bigger. And they were very stiff. For the price I expected more. I had to return them

Old style better
Sole is too big. Why make a shoe so clumsy for hiking?

Never disappointed in Merrell
What a great, versatile shoe! Love the street-ready style and how lightweight these are. They proved to be ultra comfy after walking all day in them and even withstood a few inches of slush and snow.

Love the Moab series
Love the shoe been getting Moab series for yrs but this particular one is wider than any of the others. I order every 6mos, I have heel spurs and plantar fasciitis, which these shoes help tremendously.

Awesome
Made a world of a difference for hiking in Arizona. They stayed tied for all the hikes. Great stability.

REALLY WANTED TO LIKE THESE
I really wanted to like these. They are a nice looking sneaker. Needed goretex for those wet/dewey days. But the heel cup was just a bit big for me. I’m a 7. Normal feet. The other thing I didn’t care for was the pull tab on the tongue. It made no sense to me to have that there. After lacing up, the tab stuck out. I could see that getting snagged on a stick/branch or something while hiking or just walking thru the woods. A lot of money for something you aren’t completely satisfied with out of the box. Returned.

Unhappy with new toe shape
I loved the old style of the Moab Speed shoe. I could comfortably wear a size 9 in that style but the new Speed 2 is a different story. They’ve changed the toe shape of the shoe and now I can’t find a size that comfortably fits me. I bought a size 9.5 and 10 and neither one of them is comfortable. The 9.5 pushes on my toes, but the 10 is just too large even though it doesn’t feel comfortable in the area. I’m very disappointed that they have gone and change the shape of the shoe.
