Just not sure about the color
The contrast between leather and sole was slightly off on the product photo so I exchanged them for something more plain. They did fit large as others have commented, normally wear size 9 and the 8.5 fit perfectly.
Nice so far
- Familiarity: I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions
- Fit: True to size
Recently got these for casual use, and the first day I wore them, it was raining heavily. I rode the train to work, and thus spent some time getting rained on, and they held up great. No staining from the water, didn't let any water in, and had plenty of traction. I'm hoping to use them when the snow starts falling as well, so I'll update this as I use them more.
As for the sizing, it may be good to go down a half size, but also remember that boots aren't made to fit just like your trail runners. I stuck with my usual size and they fit pretty well.
Great Casual Boots - Run Large
- Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer
- Fit: Runs large
I wear these boots around campus during the week, and walking around mountain towns on the weekends. I haven't had a chance to test the waterproofing, but I plan to use these throughout the winter for the same purposes - as long as the snow isn't too deep. They seem like they could be used for light hiking, but I have just been using them casually.
Great overall quality, laces are tough and not too long, and they've got good grip. They do run large though. As another reviewer said, size down a half-size.
Size down half a size
Solid boot, but these run a bit large. That may be what you're looking for if you plan to wear really thick socks. Otherwise, I'd suggest sizing half a size down.
is this a 4inch or 6 inch heel?
