To say Mavic’s Ksyrium line of road wheels has become legendary would be an understatement. Rather than rest on its laurels and just keep cranking out the same tried-and-true design, Mavic continues to raise the bar with the Ksyrium 125 LTD wheelset.
The 125s are made with Mavic’s stiff, lightweight Maxtal aluminum. Mavic then eliminates the seam with its SUP arc welds, so you never feel any irregularity during braking. Mavic also increases its rim stiffness by a whopping 20 percent with Fore drilling, which leaves the upper bridge intact. Mavic’s Exalith 2 treatment goes even further to strengthen the rim and increases braking performance by 18 percent in rainy conditions.
Mavic’s alloy hubs with C3 cartridge bearings are laced to the rims with Traction Compression (or TraComp) spokes, which reduce compression and wheel deflection under load. In order to help you get the most out of your new Mavic rims, it included GripLink/PowerLink front- and rear-specific clincher tires with the wheelset. Also included are Exalith 2 brake pads, BR601 quick-releases, wheelbags, a computer magnet, a bearing adjustment tool, one spoke wrench, a spoke holder for aerodynamic spokes, the TraComp ring tool, and a user guide.
