Ready to be used and abused as a training wheelset, or as a solid upgrade to the cheaper wheels that came with your bike, the Mavic Aksium One Wheelset delivers robust strength, sleek, good-looking aesthetics, and smooth-rolling performance without the sticker shock of pricier wheelsets.

Just because they're entry-level doesn't mean that Mavic skimps on the good stuff. In fact, you'll find beautiful straight-pull spokes , with 20 on both the front and rear wheels. Super-tough 6061 aluminum rims take the brunt of daily abuse from training rides and long-distance jaunts, while the spoke's eyelets are hammer hardened for high levels of durability. Eliminating brake shuddering at high-speeds, the wheel's UB Control braking surface is CNC machined for increased stopping power. Moreover, you'll appreciate the sealed cartridge QRM+ bearings and steel axles for their high levels of efficiency and durability. Note that these wheels come with BR101 quick-releases, rim strips, and either Campagnolo or Shimano/SRAM-compatible freehub bodies.
