Why We Like The Tungsten Tent
When the group's ready to lay our heads down after an arduous hike into the backcountry, we make sure to do so in the spacious and sturdy Marmot Tungsten 3P Tent. With a design that maximizes living space, this roomy tent doesn't leave us feeling like we're sharing a bivy sack with two other musky campers.
Zone construction creates vertical walls to increase sleeping and storage space without adding bulk, sparing us the cramped conditions that most backpacking tents offer. Two D-shaped doors make for stealthy ins and outs throughout the night, and two vestibules provide plenty of dry storage space for everyone's gear.

Great First Group Backpacking Tent
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The Tungsten 3P tent held up in light rain and heavy wind on a backpacking trip along the west coast. Haven't tried it in heavy rain yet but so far, no condensation drips into the tent so that's a good sign. Also it packs down pretty light. Would recommend purchasing 4 additional stakes since this tent comes with 4 guy lines and no stakes for them.

Incredible tent for weathering intense storms!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We were just camping in the Swiss Alps at a festival and we had the most insane storms roll through with lightening/thunder and torrential downpours. It was so much rain that a massive landslide happened after this storm. This tent was in 4-5 inches of water for an hour or so until we could move it to higher ground with a break in the storm. We were were amazed and so thankful that all of our gear was dry. We ended up getting another intense storm roll in a couple hours later with rain and wind so intense it destroyed some of the other festival goers tents and canopy's. This second storm hit later at night and our only option was to ride it out in the tent. We were sitting on our air mattresses and could push on the bottom of the tent and feel several inches of water below it. We were definitely scared we would wake up the next morning in water with everything wet but this tent was amazing! When we woke up the next morning it was damp under both of our sleeping mats but everything else stayed dry. Incredible! The wind and rain was truly intense. I'd never experienced that level of storm in a tent before. I was sure either the tent would collapse or it would get blown away. I'm truly impressed with this tent! It is the first Marmot I have owned and I highly recommend!

Great tent - expectations exceeded
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Very easy to assemble and pack up and it withstood a significant storm while several around me did not. I'm really happy with my purchase and looking forward to using it many more times.

Tungsten 3-Person Tent
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I had to retire the older Marmot after several tours of duty in Europe at race tracks and racing here in the US. Never once had an issue in the 12 years. Ungraded and have this one now. These are quality tents

Great tent! Color, not a fav

I ordered several tents. The Stoic Driftwood, Marmot Tungsten and Northface Stormbreak 3 - all 3 person tent. I set them up on my living room hardwood floor. This tent is super easy to set up, very sturdy, great overhead space and easy in/out entry. Storage pockets could be honestly better placed but they're basic and there is a loft storage net as well. Only drawback and reason I am giving Northface a try is the color – with the yellow/blue/red combo it looks like a lego.

I got the Marmot Tungsten 3p recently and set up was self explanatory. Although there was one 6” pole that came with the tent, what is that for?
