To ensure we are prepared for such an event we slip the Marmot Minimalist Pro Jacket into our pack and head for the hills. This jacket takes up hardly any room in our pack and ends up fully blocking out rain and wind without causing us to overheat.

High pockets, short length
I returned this because I was unable to use the high pockets for my hands (I like to keep them dry in the rain too). The length was significantly shorter than the rain jacket I was replacing. I was concerned that all the water running off would land on my crotch if wearing this without rain pants. The quality of construction and water proofing material seemed excellent.

Kept me completely dry in Iceland!
I took this jacket, in yellow, along with another gortex one from a very well known, reputable brand. While the other one provided more coverage, it began to let moisture in after long exposures to rain. My Marmot jacket kept me completely dry underneath no matter how much rain or moisture I was exposed to.

Quality, but bad design
No issues with the quality of this jacket, but the design is terrible. The pockets are not like what is shown in the photo, they are only a few inches long at breast height so can’t put your hands in them, and very awkward to use them at all. Even putting a dog bag in them because it’s difficult to get in and out, and then you have a lump right on your chest. Highly recommend other Marmot gear, but not this one.

Great quality, the zipper is even protected
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Great quality rain jacket! The zipper and stitching around it is even protected from any moisture getting in. I love it, this is the best rain jacket I've ever owned and will keep me absolutely dry.

Happy with this Coat
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This coat is really high quality. I purchased this for hiking and camping in the spring and fall, and it'll be perfect. I love all of the pockets, the fit, and the color (blue). I maybe could have gone with an XS (5'1", 112 lbs), but the S will allow for layers and comfort so I kept it.

Great Jacket
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Received this jacket along with the Women's Mitre Peak Jacket. Both are great quality, though I have not tried either in the outside elements. Returned this jacket because I preferred the larger hood of the Women's Mitre Peak Jacket which will accomidate a helmet.

Great upgrade
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I love this jacket. I think the hood adjustment works really well and I always stay dry. I also don't get overly hot and sweaty which has been an issue with previous rain jackets by other companies. I plan on bringing this jacket to Scotland because I know it will be perfect for the temperature and the rain!
