Excellent
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I recently bought a marmot back pack. I canoe and hike. I had a north face back pack I have used for the last 20 years. I decided to purchase this backpack a few months ago. Five stars! It’s fantastic for canoe trips and for hiking. The water just beads off the material to keep everything dry. It holds a good amount of supplies. Plus it’s light weight!

Versatile and comfortable
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] It is very well made and looks to be very sturdy. I have been using it for hiking on weekly basis last six months. My longest hikes with it were about 4 hours so far and I found it to be comfortable. The pack is very versatile. You can expand or shrink its size by extending or collapsing the top of the pack. There are many loops/hooks for different attachments that I have not fully utilize. I plan to carry it for Grand Canyon Rim to Rim hike this December.

Get the job done!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Does exactly what it’s supposed to, however, they are not as well made as the used to be. If used heavily you can expect a solid 2-3years of use

Great for what it was made to do!
Great for what it was made to do, and pretty good for some things it wasn't. The size is right for a "do most" pack, and has amazing versatility in external attachments (eg. Skis, Ice ax/tools, pro, and more). It's a bit big for a light day pack, but can cinch down and still be comfortable. It's also big enough for an over night or fast four day climb. It's my go-to pack now, and I would definitely recommend it.

Big bag for big days!
This bag is big enough to tackle big alpine ascents during summer and winter ski lines without a hiccup, my go to bag!
