When it comes to tackling uncharted alpine territory, the Mammut Trion Advanced S Backpack knows a thing or two about adapting to the conditions at hand. The Trion is a highly versatile backpack that's designed specifically for alpine climbing and ski mountaineering.

The Trion features a triple-threat fabric construction, starting with its lightweight yet robust nylon body, while the highly durable trim and water-resistant base fabric double down on longevity and withstand abrasive surfaces and elements alike. Meanwhile, the Trion is equipped with a lightweight (and adjustable) aluminum frame and EVA padding for day-long support and comfort. The Air Mesh hip belt and shoulder straps are also padded for added comfort.

Perhaps what's most notable about the Trion, though, is its bottom compartment. This compartment is entirely removable and can be accessed from the exterior of the pack. A height-adjustable lid is outfitted with two secure pockets, as well as a lash point for your climbing rope. The ice axe carrying options on the front are highly stable, and the side ski carrying option offers added versatility.
