Mammut Rime IN Flex Hooded Jacket
When temperatures drop, the Rime Flex Jacket with helmet-compatible hood is the right option in cold and wet conditions. The Rime Flex is the warmest synthetic fiber insulated jacket in our collection and features a special, sustainably produced synthetic filling: a combination of recycled polyester fibers and Sorona fibers from renewable plant materials. Its special structure keeps you warm and also has elastic properties. Stretch fibers and a slightly lower insulation density on the arms ensure that you can move freely. Thanks to the synthetic fiber filling, the jacket still keeps you warm when it gets wet. The nylon fabric outer shell is very hard-wearing at minimal weight and offers light weather protection. The Pertex Quantum Air lining makes the jacket particularly breathable, extremely light and compressible. You can wear the jacket as an outer layer in cold conditions or carry it in your backpack, ready to warm you up during rest stops.

Nice soft shell with water repellent qualities
I've used this jacket mostly for winter hiking and back country skiing. It's warmer and a bit thicker than my other softshells. Still fits under a shell. Hood is nice with the visor built in for snowy weather.

Excellent coat. Needed a second larger one and it has been outstanding. I have worn it on multiple mid altitude climbs and hikes already and it's holding up well. The hood is improved over prior versions. Overall excellent layering choice if you are a hiker, climber, or mountaineer.

Has become a go to for me
I've had this jacket for a long time now and I reach for it more than most of my other options. It's warm, has a soft feel, higher placed pockets for wearing a pack, a shaped brim on the hood so it doesn't fall flat along the top of your head, and pretty packable. The 1 thing I would change is that I wish there was at least some sort of insulation layer on the outside edge of the pocket because there is nothing at all so you can feel the cold thin layer against your back of your bare hands when inside the pockets.

Versitlie piece
I have been using this jacket for over a month now. It is WARM, can only wear it if it's below zero. the hood had a cool lip on it to keep the hood on your head and the visor proped up a bit. I am a sweatty individual doing pretty much any activity and the syntetic down stays warm unlike my true down pieces that get bogged down with moisture. I am 5'11, 155lbs and the Medium is a good overall fit, allowing for a base layer and fleece as needed :)

I can't stop wearing this jacket. I think its pretty true to size and I've found it to be much warmer than other synthetically insulated jackets I've owned.

This jacket is a high performer in all winter conditions. I wear it backcountry skiing and hiking almost daily. It fits and moves and breathes perfectly.
