The Louis Garneau Tri-400 Men's Shoes provide the streamlined efficiency and power transfer needed to crush the competition, with ample cooling, cushioning, and support to keep your feet eagerly cranking along. Looking to the shoe's upper, you'll notice its rigid microfiber, which provides a secure platform for maximizing power transfer. An oversized mesh toe vent draws heat off your foot, cooling in conjunction with the ventilated Ice Fil insole.
Its Power Flex ankle strap leverages a reverse hook-and-loop strap for easy on and off, making it especially useful for quick transitions and on-bike adjustments. This oversized strap secures the upper foot without nasty pressure points. Along the forefoot, you'll appreciate the Boa IP1 closure for its quick-dialing fit. Simply turn the dial to your ideal tightness and you're off to the races. Moreover, this shoe features a heel retention membrane to prevent dreaded lift, especially when you're climbing and sprinting out of the saddle.
And because it's intended for racing, the Tri-400 is outfitted with a lightweight Carbon HM X-Lite outsole that's extremely rigid and quite thin, coming in at a mere 4.3mm thick. This sole gives you immediate power transfer, helping you accelerate from a standstill and attack sprints without wasting precious energy.
