Line's been "skiing the wrong way" for 20 years now, which might make you feel a little bit old if you remember the days of skiboarders getting ludicrously rad, but the company's do-it-a-little-differently ethic is still holding strong even as it enters its grown-up years. While the vibe might be off-kilter, the boards are killer, and perhaps none have the float, stability, and quickness of the Supernatural 108 Ski.
The Supernatural's not as jibby as many Line skis, but that's OK because it makes its money when things get fast and aggressive. At 108 underfoot, the Supernatural splits the difference between hardpack charger and pow-gobbling monster and uses Line's famous 5-Cut five-dimensional sidecut to serve up virtually unlimited turn shapes, so you can shimmy through trees, blast over crud, and pinch the throttle down big, open lines. The Maple Macroblock core combines two rugged maple stringers with quick and poppy aspen, keeping the Supernatural stable at speed, quick in tight spots, and poppy when you're feeling playful. The core is covered up with a Metal Matrix Titanal laminate to give you some extra oomph and stability.
Line was on the forefront of the rocker revolution and was so successful that the Supernatural's Early Rise tip and tail are pretty commonplace these days. The tip lets you float through pow and cruise over crud without diving and sending you over the bars, and the raised tail lets you slash pow turns, dump speed, and ride switch like a boss (although the Supernatural's a fairly directional ski that prefers to ride facing downhill). Elastomer sidewalls finish off the Super's tough Shockwall sandwich construction, and burly 2mm steel edges bite into hardpack and handle the occasional rocky encounter without cracking and leaving you edgeless and alone.
