Delaminated soles within a year
The last two pairs only lasted one year until the soles delaminated. After the first pair I got a free exchange but not for the second pair with the same problem. Keen needed a receipt, which I didn't have since it was an exchange. These shoes used to be my favorite hiking shoes. I don't abuse them; just regualr 4 - 5 mile forest hikes twice a week with the dogs. Keen needs to fix this delamination problem. I will go elsewhere for hiking boots.

Heavy, hard, and hot!
I bought these back in November 23. I have been "breaking them in" since then and I have to say that these are the most uncomfortable hiking shoes I have ever worn. I thought once broke in they would improve. Nope. It's like walking barefoot on a concrete floor all day after wearing them for four hours. My feet hurt! And I haven't even worn them hiking yet! Heavy and make your feet hot because they aren't leather. Vegan leather = plastic by any other name. Too late to return so I will wear them for outside chores and for short periods only.

Well made hiking shoe
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] After three months of wearing these for daily walking on unpaved roads and easy trails near my home, I'm a little disappointed. The shoes are quite heavy,:more than I expected in a "walking shoe". I also reduced my rating by an additional star because most days when I return home, I have to extract two to three stones from the tread. I appreciate the good grip, but I have never had this problem with any of my other lightweight hiking shoes or walking shoes. This is a problem because I like to wear my walking shoes when I go into town and when I'm working around home. Stones and floors don't mix well. I had high hopes for these shoes and sadly, they fell short. I did not go lower than 3 stars because they are well made, easy to lace and adjust the tightness and the laces are generous in length. By the way, I ordered a 1/2 size up because the Keen sandals I ordered last summer (same size and model I had bought several years ago) seemed to be running small. I also wanted a shoe that would give me generous toe room. These are borderline in that department. Would I order these again;? no.Would I recommend them to a friend. Probably not.

A shoe that I have
A shoe that I have worn many years. I buy it and walk . There is no need to break it in

Almost Perfect!
I love the "traditional" width (i.e. plenty of room for my toes to splay a bit). Plenty of support as well as quite comfortable. All around my favorite trail shoe. One complaint: this is my fourth pair and my last two pairs got cracks in the "waterproof" part after getting wet just once. No, not drenched, just lightly rained on. When they dried, they cracked. So, they were kinda useless for waterproof any more. Still a really good show though! Thus, why I just purchased again.

2nd pair; don't fit like the first at all
I bought a 2nd pair of the Targhee (before Keen stops making them). I bought a different color but the same size; this pair didn't fit at all like the first - they were too big so had to return them. if you get the right fit, I highly recommend. The half size down is too small; I went to a local store to try on both sizes for comparison. Seems this pair was made using a different mold or pattern (or made in a different country). Too bad, I really like the pair I have and wanted a 2nd back up pair.

I could not be happier with them
First of all, I'm a year-round sandal person, and I only grudgingly bought full shoes. These are wonderful! The tongue doesn't mash my foot and they're comfortable for distance walking. Last weekend I dug my neighbor's car out of a snowbank and my feet stayed warm and dry. I could not be happier with these shoes.

Im sure theyre fine for others
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] These shoes are quality made. I just have terrible trouble with my feet and can only wear a targee 2....not the shoes fault. They are cute and comfortable but just not for me
