    Who doesn't love rope?

Messenger bags are a dime a dozen these days, but the Kavu Women's Rope Bag Purse breaks the mold with a design that sits somewhere between a daypack, purse, and messenger bag. The rope shoulder strap gives this bag a unique look, while the adjustable webbing along the lower portion of the strap allows you to make quick adjustments to the length of the strap when you want to wear it across your body or over a single shoulder. Two vertical zip pockets grant easy access to small essentials, and the durable cotton canvas fabric withstands heavy wear from day-to-day life in the city.

    Awesome bag

    • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

I've gotten a lot of compliments. This sling bag is perfect for day-to-day use and is quite sturdy. The main compartment fits my 32 oz. Nalgene, a small book. medium sized thermos, and my wallet. The zipper pocket on the front fits my phone and my moleskine planner. I sewed a patch on the side for customization. I would definitely buy another in a different color when the time comes!

    perfectly adequate bag

Carries a lot, has nice divided pockets with hidden zip pocket inside. I have the light gray color, nothing fancy. My only complaint is the outer zipper pocket needs two hands to zip it up and the smaller velcro pocket doesn't stay closed, my phone flew out and hit the floor twice before I realized the design flaw and used the other (two hands needed) pocket.

    Outside TV "Branded" : Kavu

Kavu understands the needs of their customers because they get out and do the same thing: play hard, get dirty, and have fun doing it. This has allowed them to create functional and durable clothing without sacrificing fashion.

    Kavu is my Go to!

What a cute durable bag! I bought the black and white ikat pattern and get compliments from it all the time. Really enjoy the two main zippered compartments (which surprisingly fit ALOT) and the smaller quick retrieval ones on front. Note the Velcro pocket on top isn't big enough for an iPhone or iPod, but I just use it for my Minamalist wallet/ coin purse and it works great. Just sling it over my shoulder and I'm on my way down the bike trails!

    Me gusto!

    • Fit: True to size

This is such a step up from the hang at your hip purse! I said good by to off the shoulder luggage, and hello to a sling that is roomy and forgettable. I can stow so much in this little guy, and keep it right on the center of my back without a second thought to it!

    Solid Bag

    • Familiarity: I've used it several times
    • Fit: True to size

This bag is stylish and versatile for urban commuting (read: urban walking). I appreciate the extra pockets and ergo design. I don't love it for biking though. It slides around on your back unless it is extra tight, which becomes uncomfortable for longer commutes. This is my only complaint though. Everything else is stellar.

I can't endorse anything specifically, however.. I would recommend a pack with two straps. They seem to slide less and provide equal weight distribution on your shoulders and back. If you are going for a long ride this might be important for you. Also, having a chest or lumbar strap to provide addition comfort and slide insurance could help you out. Have fun out there!
