The TX87 Tour Haute Route Ski combines the solid downhill performance of a pair Kastle skis with a lightweight, backcountry-specific construction, so you'll be able to get to the top with ease and absolutely crush the descent.

The TX87 is a true backcountry ski as seen in its dimensions. With a narrow 87mm waist, traditional camber profile, and a single radius sidecut, the TX87 is built to hold an edge in some of the worst conditions you'll encounter in the backcountry. A hook-free taper in the shovel and tail push the widest point of contact back from the tip, so you can loosen up your turns, without feeling like you'll hook a turn and wind up sliding for your life. The karuba wood core can be found in Kastle's more big mountain, freeride skis and is unique in its ability to flex progressively and maintain a torsionally rigid feel while remaining relatively lightweight. It wouldn't be a Kastle ski without that recognizable Hollowtech vibration dampening technology in the shovel, and the TX87s don't disappoint. Not only does the Hollowtech tip reduce vibration by almost 15%, but it keeps the weight of the ski down, so the benefits will be felt on both the up and down. Rugged mountains require rugged skis, so Kastle used a Sandwich Cap construction, so you get the lightweight benefits of a cap construction along with the added durability of full sidewalls.
