Powder, pow, blower, fluff, cold smoke, freshies, poudreuse—what lures you into the backcountry goes by many names, but that doesn't change the fact that accessing the best snow—the champagne of snow—means you're going to have to put in more effort than the hordes of lift-riding skiers are willing to exert, and the Kastle TX107 Tour Poudreuse Ski makes sampling that sweet, sweet pow a whole lot easier. Its lightweight cap construction, versatile 107mm waist, and early rise tip all come together to make the up easy and the descent fast, fun, and powder-filled (Ullr willing).
The TX line of touring skis combine Kastle's vibration dampening technology with a lightweight, backcountry-specific construction that will leave you smiling on both the up and down. Rubber dampening edges and Kastle's Hollowtech shovel help reduce chatter through the ski for a reliably smooth feel when you're exit from the high, north-facing goods puts you face-to-face with mank, ice, and just all-around crap conditions. The early rise tip puts the ski up on top of the good stuff for a surfy feel, while camber underfoot, and a powerful tail keep the ski solid and stable for skiers who like to go fast. Like all skis in the TX line, the 107 Tour Poudreuse features a notched tail to keep your climbing skins securely attached to your tails after a long, switch-backed climb to the untracked.
