Kastle's BMX98 Ski doesn't come with wheels to smooth out the ride, but it has just about every other performance-boosting bit of technology that you'd look for a in powder-leaning all-mountain ski. With traditional, but low, camber underfoot and an early-rise tip, it offers a top-shelf combination of hardpack and soft-snow performance, with a light, snappy poplar and beech wood core that's stiffened up torsionally, laterally, and tip-top-tail by multiple fiberglass laminates. This ensures that the BMX98 has a powerful feel that's comfortable trenching turns on the frontside but doesn't loose its floaty and fun feel when the snow starts piling up.
The BMX98 is also designed with a dual-radius Big Mountain sidecut, which provides serious stability at speed and easy corrections when you're hitting high speeds. You'll be able to make both long- and short-radius turns with ease, thanks to the hook-free tail and shovel that engage into and break out of turns in a snap, while the dual Hollowtech tip and tail inserts reduce tip and tail weight and vibration for a smooth ride and ABS sidewalls direct plenty of power to the edges. Whether you're rallying groomers, demolishing powder, or doing some of both, the BMX98 will have you smiling like a Cheshire cat and shredding like a boss.
