Description

Make sure you have the Jetset Utensil Set ready to go when you make a meal with your Jetboil stove.

The Jetset Utensil Set includes a collapsible spoon, fork, and spatula that all fit snugly in your pack and let you actually reach the bottom of your Jetboil pot. Sporks are great and all, but they're just a bit too short to work well with a Jetboil stove. Get the Cargo Cozy Kit to hold these utensils securely on the outside of your Jetboil stove.

Hey Ryan,
Yes indeed, enjoying the view for breakfast. I love making breakfast in sweet, iconic locations!

Lightweight & compact

I love these retractable utensils. Easy to clean, lightweight, and compact. Much more durable then some of the other products out there.

Great utensils

  • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

I bought these to go along with my jetboil Flash. I have a titanium spork that I use with my other cook set. My spork was a little short and with the nostick in my Jetboil I thought that these would be better and I was right. At first they seem to light to use well, but even being plastic they have held up to many meals so far. I have used them to eat my add water freezed dried dinners, as well as pasta and rice directly in my Jetboil and was able to stir and eat without a problem. I carry the spoon and fork right on the side of my Flash ever camp trip because they set nice right on the side. I have only had these a couple of months, but i love them. I just have to either get another set or hide them from my wife because she has used them and now keep wanting to put them in her lunch kit for work.

Better than most I've tried

  • Gender: Male
  • Familiarity: I've used it several times

I've tried a number of different compact utensil sets and have found that this one works better than most. They are plastic so of course the will melt if you get them too hot, and they also aren't one solid piece so there is going to be a weak point. But keep these things in mind and the set works pretty well. They are long enough to reach the bottom of my GSI Pinnacle Soloist allowing me to stir what I'm cooking or eat from the pot. Also they collapse enough to make packing them a bit more convenient.

Pretty good

They've been incredibly durable over a fair amount of use and abuse. They pack up nicely, and slide into any small pocket- so super convenient! I love having these extendable utensils for backpacking meals especially- you can get down to the corners of the bag without getting stuff all over your hands. Overall, pretty good to have around- definitely worth $10

They are pretty simple, break down nicely to a small size. They are much better than a different I had that broke after on day. You just to remember they are plastic, so they melt if you don't watch where you put them close to a fire.

Jetboil Spoon Rocks!

  • Gender: Male
  • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

I do have the complete set (spoon + fork + spatula) but the only one that goes out on the trail is the spoon. The spoon is the only one I need. It's light weight (0.4 oz) and it reaches the bottom of my freezedried meal pouches (to stir ingredients). I probably wouldn't use it to scoop hard-pack ice cream, but it's always been strong enough for my needs.

Pack light!

  • Gender: Male
  • Familiarity: I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions

First impression is they'd be flimsy but they beat scratching up your teflon coated cookware which you might have paid through the nose for.

Solid

If you are looking for a great utensil set that wont scratch your JB, look no further. Of course these things wont hold up to scalding them on your pan or putting them down the garbage disposal, but that's not what they were intended for. Use them wisely for cooking with your JB and you will be just fine. They are super lightweight and pack down nicely. Grab a set.

Not too bad, but could be better

I prefer my light my fire spork to these, but these are good for cooking, although they have a tendency to collapse on you. The spatula works great when it is open and the spoon and fork are nice because they have a longer reach than my spork, but when they collapse on you it is an issue. Most of the time I just take my spatula and spork with me...great combo.

Awesome, and durable...

I've used this set for 2 seasons now. They work great, clean up well, and fit in the side holder on the Jet Boil system. I've never used the spatula, so I can't say anything good, or bad for that... But the spoon works awesome with the JB cup. The fork works perfect for Ramen. I like the long length of them as well. Even if I didn't have a Jet Boil, I'd still use these. Small, light, and durable. Great buy!

alright

These utensils are alright. They are quite flimsy, hard to clean, they melt, and over time the locking mechanism that keeps them extended wears out. That being said, they did survive a month long expedition to the Waddington Range in BC. I think that counts for something.

Decent, but could be better

The size of the set is nice - the fact that they retract down is a plus. The spatula is kind of flimsy though - so if you are working with some thick food, it's not the best. The fork and spoon and similar. The best part is that they are shaped right fit with the pots and pans so that you can get all the food out of them.

The spatula also melted a little while cooking pancakes, but the last one I used had the same problem.

Lightweight, Stains, Hard to Clean

I used the set last week on a 4 day Grand Canyon Trip. Worked fine for me. Used both spoon and fork with Freeze Dried Meals and they usually include some kind of powder for spicing and flavoring and it was next to impossible to clean the spoon/fork after the initial stir. After eating, I work on them with my knife and finger nails for 30 minutes to get all the stuff off (especially cheezy stuff). They are permanently stained the color of the first freeze dried meal I stirred. Stains not a big deal just bothersome. I accidentally left the spoon in the holder on the side of the jetboil when heating water and it melted even though the neoprene jetboil cover did not.

Good: Collapsible, lightweight, fits in jetboil stuff
Cons: Hard to Clean, susceptible to melting

melts - not easy to clean

if you move fast an do not stay in contact with the pan for long you will be fine but if you don't - melt down. My spatula lasted a couple uses mainly cause I suspected it would melt. While cooking some fish I was trying to get the whole fish on the spatula to flip I melted the spatula. It is still usable but not that excited to use it again. I melted the fork a bit as well when cooking in the cup. My other complaint is there are a lot of little creases and nooks that food gets in so they are not the easiest to clean. spoon has help up well.

Will this fit inside the jetboil with the fuel can and ignitor stored inside?

Best Answer Responded on

I store the fork and spoon on the outside of the mug in a little sleeve on the neopreene holder that's designed to do just that.
The spatula can go there to but it also fits perfectly on the underside of the pan under the protective ring cover.
